Gustavo Cerati - Siempre es hoy

This would be any artist’s magnum opus, but this is just an average album for cerati

Gustavo Cerati - Bocanada

this is the greatest album ever made. I've never been so hooked to something as bad as this, and my favorites keep changing
favs: all
worst: n/a

Luis Alberto Spinetta - A 18' del Sol
85

This is great but that’s mostly it unfortunately. I really wanted to love more but in the end it kind of felt one sided unlike Artaud or almendra. Sounds like John McLaughlin though so that’s pretty cool

Derek and The Dominos - Layla

this song doubled the number of laylas in the world

青葉市子 [Ichiko Aoba] - 0

very soothing but imo it’s too soothing, i prefer windswept adan

Nujabes / Fat Jon - Samurai Champloo Music Record: Departure
87

really consistent all throughout + hella chill

Boris With Merzbow - Rock Dream
100

Boris is probably one of my favorite metal bands ever, and Merzbow is someone with a very interesting catalogue of music (or noise). This was on my radar for a while, but I thought that now is the time for me to listen to this masterpiece. 山下達郎 [Tatsuro Yamashita] - For You
87

when he sings flowers start blossoming

Deftones - White Pony
86

great but probably overrated

Opeth - Ghost Reveries
87

the most progressive opeth album of that makes sense

Depeche Mode - Violator
95

the most well mixed album I’ve heard probably

Soda Stereo - Signos
87

crazy bass, extremely catchy

88

this isn’t comparable to symbolic or anything but this still rocks

Novos Baianos - Acabou Chorare
87

saddest brazilian person

Geese - Getting Killed
65

cool but the vocals kinda make it sound worse sometimes

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
85

this album in my opinion kinda represents life with all the mixes of emotions
it mixes joy, history, infamy, sadness, darkness, and hope while also changing from grand orchestral segments to soft personal moments. The shifts and variety of emotions sort of show the complexity of life, and that’s what I really like most about this album.

Opeth - Blackwater Park
95

this is brutal, the mix of atmosphere with the heavy moments is unreal + great progression moments here and there
