What an insane first listen, my first 10 ive ever given on a first listen. Yeah this album is just incredible, the production on every song feels so perfected in a way that Rocky didn't achieve on his prior albums. Even though the album has 18 songs, it doesn't feel bloated like AT ALL. Every song is quality and lyrics/hook wise every song is so catchy. Rocky also performs great on every song, but I feel like the features are more notable and do great service for the album.
A great album. bunii has amazing instrumentals and while they are fairly repetitive, the guitar style that he does is really beautiful. While bunii doesn't have the most standout vocals or lyrics, they pair really well with the guitar instrumentals. Probably my main flaw with this album is how short some of the songs are. While some of the songs are 2:30 which is great, a lot of them are like 1-1:30 which doesn't leave enough room to really get attached to the song. Overall a great ... read more
I didn't come into this album with high expectations, as I had heard that it wasn't that great however I enjoyed it mostly. Most songs had great/good production on here other than two songs that were pretty bad (Backpackers & You See Me). I think Childish Gambino does a better job on this album with more melodic songs than intense rap songs, (L.E.S. & Heartbeat) however Bonfire was cool. I think the way the album ended with That Power was really cool.
This album feels like Long Live Asap if it was only the really chill/floaty songs, and I think it does it really well. The floaty production is really well done for the vibe of the album, this really feels like an album you would get high to. This is probably the most chill album I have ever listened to, but not in a background music way. I really love this
The production on this is just incredibly interesting and unique, I've never really seen Tyler put out anything like this. While a couple songs in the 2nd half might be a little forgettable, that's mostly just due to how much some of the songs in the middle and intro section of the album stand out.
Fun album, i didn't come into this with crazy expectations and i'm pretty satisfied. The tracklist on the album is very consistent and the duo always have an entertaining energy to them. The production is pretty interesting for its time and their attempts at louder more ragey songs are very cool
Pusha's rapping on this is amazing as expected and Kanye's industrial sounding production is great on this album. The large feature list also keeps this album really entertaining, however my one complaint is that the album for some reason has a huge lack of replay value.
Some of the album gets repetitive but i like it, I think it would've been better if he had some more intensity on his lyrics and production at times (like in i serve the base) but it was pretty good. I think the major issue here is the lack of features. I can't even stress how much better this album would be with features on songs, I genuinely have no idea what future was going for with that decision.
Cool album, while on a lot of songs the production is far more repetitive than Rodeo and Travis Scott's vocals are far less interesting than those on Rodeo, I did still enjoy the album. This album does feel like the scraps that were left from Rodeo.
I think this album is very overrated. While the rapping is good on the album, it feels like Prodigy and Havoc struggle to know how to actually make a song. They can rap great for sure, but in terms of making a song that you actually want to listen to again, I'm not so sure. The production on this album on some songs is cool, but on others it feels pretty lackluster especially considering that it came out a year after Illmatic and Ready To Die.
While I do prefer Take Care, this album is pretty good. Very calm vibes on most of the songs and while I think Take Care’s production was better, I still enjoyed a lot of the calm songs on here. A few of the songs aren't as calm and I think those tend to be the worst songs.
Cool album, the first half is filled with a ton of enjoyable bangers yet also chill songs, i just think in the 2nd half the album definitely falls off as a lot of the songs feels like 4-5 minutes of just filler drake. If the 2nd half was as good as the first this would be like a light 9.
Genuinely one of my best first listens ever, this album is incredibly peak. The production is consistently BEAUTIFUL on this album, and Kid Cudi's melodic performances are insanely good. Extremely enjoyable listen, such a relaxing album yet in such an entertaining and fun way.
What a genuinely disappointing album, A Great Chaos was a huge step up for him, and after waiting a year and a half since then, we get this. This was supposed to be a huge release for him, and he sounds barely even alive. His vocal performances are miserably boring, and the production on almost every song is forgettable. Not to mention, the album has almost NO features which leads to an extremely boring hour of just hearing his zero passion vocal performances, and the one song that does have a ... read more
This is a pretty good album, the highs on this album are really great, and while the rest of the album isn't anything amazing, it's by no means bad or mid. Most songs on the album are pretty solid and present a cool floaty vibe, even if they aren't that entertaining, it's a cool listen.
I had high expectations for this album, and this album somehow surpassed my expectations. Carti somehow dropped one of the best rap albums of the decade so far and I'm all for it. Full of absolute bangers, when i saw 30 tracks i expected it to be bloated but there were only like 5 mid songs. I AM MUSIC.
Pretty cool album. I think my only problem with this album is that a lot of the songs can feel KIND OF samey, but overall the features on this album are absolutely stacked as almost every song will have either Travis Scott, Future or 21 Savage. Not to mention, Metro Boomin is an amazing producer so the production on this album is great. Overall this is just a really fun trap album.
This album is frustrating. Like its objectively good, the production is objectively good. But it's just so boring that I don't care about it. Nothing happens the entire album, it's just very chill songs that by themselves are good but as an album experience i found it frustratingly boring. To me this album hardly has highs or lows, just a straight line of enjoyment that makes me really not care for it.
