There are some great tracks on this one. I think Rex's other albums are better, but this isn't too bad. I am a little biased towards this album because I saw it live, but I think overall it was a fine project.
This is actually one of the better Cage the Elephant albums in my opinion. There are some great underrated tracks on this one. I think they tested the waters with some songs on this album but overall it was a good showing.
This is a very good project from Halsey. I was used to the pure pop Halsey that plays on the radio and this was a nice change of pace. I think I like this sound better on Halsey than some of her more basic pop music. She tells a story and gets deep on this album. This sound ended up being really successful for her. I am ready to hear her next project!
This was my first Steve Lacy project and I really enjoyed it. I think so many other songs on this deserved to be as popular as Bad Habit. The duo on Sunshine is heavenly. I really like the sound and production on this. Hope to see Steve Lacy continue to be successful in his music career and survive the tiktokification of his concerts.
Demi changed genres and it wasn't half bad. I think the rock/alt voice suits her and there are definitely some highs on this record. I also feel there are definitely some lows on this record that are hard to get past. Some good songs to come out of this and interested to see if she will stick with this sound.
This is a great project from The 1975. Jack Antonoff did his thing. Matty has his share of quirky lyrics but all of the songs are very cohesive. This is one of the first times they switched up the album intro and I think it paid off. Some great pop songs off this album.
This album is excellence. I wish I was able to see this album live. The song writing on this album proves that My Chemical Romance were in their hit making bag. This is peak Emo-pop and I will forever come back to this album.
A really strong showing from beabadoobee. I think the writing and vocals are great throughout. She always puts her best foot forward giving us a great follow up to beatopia.
One of my favorite Panic! albums. I think this style of pop punk is one of my favorites. The lyrics in this album are very intricate, but catchy. Some of my favorite Panic! songs are off this album. I also like the interludes/transitions between songs. The connection between "But its Better If You Do" and "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" is amazing.
Not a horrible album, but I think I am blinded by nostalgia for Cry Baby. There defintely are highs and lows on this album. I appreciate the world building Melanie always has with her projects and think this was a good continuation of the K-12.
My first Rina Sawayama project and it solidified me as a fan. I love this record. It is so original and creative. She gets very deep on songs like "Chosen Family" while still embracing the pop genre to its fullest potential. This album has no skips.
This record is the definition of an earworm. Every song latches onto your brain in a way that is comforting. The vibes on this record are immaculate and I constantly crave listening to this for the first time again.
I actually really like this EP. While I feel there are very basic pop songs, they don't feel boring. The hooks keep you interested and dancing through the tracklist.
This album is the perfect listen for fall. I really love the writing on this one and each song finds its place on the tracklist. The deluxe tracks are just added fun and I get songs from this album stuck in my head frequently. I am impressed by the fact this is the SECOND album released and shines just as bright. I feel like this album is overlooked by the massive impact folklore has on people and evermore deserves just as much praise.
When I first started listening to PinkPantheress I didn't think she could make a bad song, and I still agree with that statement. She is herself in every song on this record. She effortlessly glides through each track and keeps you dancing the night away. I am really excited to see what she does next and glad she is getting the recognition she deserves!
This was actually one of the last albums I had listened to by Charli xcx and it made me appreciate her evolution as an artist even more. You can tell her creativity and experimenting never stopped. I do think this record shows its age a little bit, but I also think some of the songs sound fresh still. I return to this record frequently and think it is a strong (official) debut from Charli.
This was my first Britney Spears project all the way through and I think it is a decent showing. While there definitely are some more basic tracks on this record that lack uniqueness, I think Britney Spears still has many great hits on this one. I definitely have lots of nostalgia for many of her hits during the 2010's. Not a bad listen.
