I have listened to this album a number of times but my best experience with it was while laying in bed, middle of the night, eyes closed, allowing the sounds to let me drift away from the world. It was such a surreal experience and I think it's one of the best ways to experience this album. I could go on and on about how masterfully some of these tracks were composed, but I don't want to just repeat what everyone else is saying.

A friend introduced me to this absolute hidden gem of an artist. Hope he gets more recognition, but at the same time, his level of niche has some value to it. Awesome stuff.
Peak, aside from some more forgettable tracks (which are still very good nonetheless.) RUNITUP through WILSHIRE is an amazing run of tracks. This is definitely some of Tyler's best work.
On par with Die Lit. Good stuff and I don't have much more to say. Sky and ILoveUIHateU are really good, def my favorites on the album.
I'm probably being too forgiving here, not sure. I liked the vibe, but this really is just background music and I found myself getting distracted quite often. Not gonna be coming back to this one anytime soon.
Edit: 76 -> 66. I usually rate by averaging the score of all the tracks, but because of how boring this was, I feel like my score should better reflect the overall experience of it.
Old Money through Fell In Luv was meh, the rest of the album was really good though. I like it a bit more than his self titled.
WOW this is overhated ngl. Yes it's a bloated album, yes Carti's an asshole, yes his lyrics are shallow, I get that. But a lot of these tracks are really solid. It's a fun listen and I would gladly come back to it, maybe just not the whole thing.
I really appreciate him and JPEGMAFIA taking this new innovative approach to hiphop. What a wild ride this album was. I admittedly don't view breakcore artists like Femtanyl and Cynthoni in a very positive light but holy shit, 1L0v3myL1f3! and The End both go unbelievably hard. Breakcore and rap is a fusion I didn't expect and I definitely didn't expect it to be this good. Crazy stuff man. Some of these tracks aren't that great but with all of the outlandish collabs that was ... read more
I think this is overglazed, all I'll really say, but it is undeniably a really good and accurate concept album and I will always hold alot of respect for it.
Most of these tracks don't appeal to my personal taste quite as much as something like Pink + White, but I'd be lying if I didn't acknowledge that this is an insanely beautiful album and definitely some of the best stuff you're gonna get from this side of hip hop.
Innovative and chaotic and I'm all for that. I think in a lot of places it gets a bit TOO random for me, but I might just need to listen through a couple more times for it to really stick. It really stood out to me as an important piece of the hip hop industry.
I understand why alot of people aren't comfortable with this album and that they expected something different. I'm definitely not crazy about it, but it's a fun listen every time. I appreciate Tyler trying new things and really just doing whatever the hell he wants. He's got crazy talent and hasn't disappointed me much at all. Don't You Worry Baby is an insanely good track, literally brought me to tears with those vocals.
I was disappointed by this because of the shift from the absolute MASTERPIECE that is Velocity : Design : Comfort to an album that really just feels like generic electronic rock and nothing more. Maybe I don't appreciate it enough or it doesn't appeal to my taste, but I won't be coming back to it often. I know that's a lot of negativity for an 81, so I will say that I do acknowledge that it's a pretty good album despite my personal gripes with it, and thus why I gave it ... read more
I think I had a similar experience to alot of people with not being really sure about it at first but with every listen I started to appreciate it more. I'll admit, International and To All The Dancers had me on the verge of tears. I don't know how they were able to accomplish such a unique sounding album that can go from ambient glitch pop to the most beautiful shoegaze melodies I've ever heard within minutes, but I can't get enough of this. One of my top favorite albums in ... read more
In my opinion, Stereolab never again made anything as great as Emperor Tomato Ketchup, but this album has an undeniable charm to it and I keep coming back to it often. La Demeure is my favorite track, honestly top 5 Stereolab songs for me
Been listening to this my entire life and have loved it all that time. The latter half is a bit weaker than the first but every track is still amazing. Spark Plug has always been my favorite
I love The Smiths, and love this compilation, you hear all their best stuff. I do have a couple gripes with the choice of alternate versions being used for some tracks (That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore 7" Edit being the main one as I don't appreciate the end segment being cut) but it doesn't make a difference to my overall opinion.
This is one of my favorite metal albums of all time, probably my top favorite excluding the Metallica classics. The message resonates with me, I vibe with the vocals and the atmosphere, everything just feels right listening to this.
