Onomatopoeic, imitative of a spitting sound. The catchphrase originates from a viral street interview conducted in June 2024 with Haliey Welch, who stated that her signature move for making a man “go crazy” in bed was to “give him that hawk tuah and spit on that thang”. However, isolated uses exist earlier (albeit without the association with oral sex).
really enjoyable project with a lot of interesting rhythms, vocals and mixing and occasional funny lyrics. the only major issue with this album for me is the arrangement. a lot of the tracks are too short which makes them feel slightly incomplete and some of the songs end too abruptly but i still really like this, my score might go up with more listens
edit: the song length is no longer an issue for me. this is one my favourite projects ever. xavier is so good drooling emoji
