I feel obligated to write a review for Hunting High and Low (which coincides with the 40th anniversary of the album), mainly because it has become one of my favourite albums in such a fashion that no other album really has. I also think a-ha are criminally underrated, in synthpop / 80s circles and just when talking about music overall. The user score on here is just crazy.

My problem with this album is really hard to explain, it's like I hear the potential for all the songs but they just never go anywhere. They just never hit at all. Wish that wasn't the case because some of these songs are so close to being something brilliant. I feel like I'm being edged.
I liked pretty much all the songs but felt underneath all of them that something was missing, idk
