Jamiroquai - Travelling Without Moving
85

Super impressed by this album it doesn’t have the problems I have with the others I just wish specific tracks stood out to me more

菊池ひみこ [Himiko Kikuchi] - FLYING BEAGLE
84

Super solid fun stuff only problem I have with it is it can be a little all over the place

Buddy Rich - Mercy, Mercy
82

I love how different each song is and the highlight of this album is the guitar work

Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain
60

Jazz centered around a single player with minimal other instrumentals I often find uninteresting but not boring I like the playing on here quite a bit but it’s not enough to make a record worth returning too

Jamiroquai - The Return of the Space Cowboy
78

Very similar to their first project but the songs that differ in style tend to be the more boring tracks on here

Jamiroquai - Emergency on Planet Earth
83

There are some insanely good track on here and some lackluster stuff that doesn’t even sound like it came from the same album

Don Ellis - Haiku
75

All around very solid project with some very beautiful compositions on here but the project as a whole doesn’t do anything in particular better than the average orchestral style jazz release

John Williams - Jurassic Park: Original Motion Soundtrack
83

My favorite movie of all time with a insane soundtrack
I love orchestral jazz stuff but I’m new to classical music in general so this is about as high as I can rate a genre I’m not accustomed to/ don’t prefer

Don Ellis - Autumn
79

I like the experimentation on here a lot but electric bath is better

Don Ellis - 'Live' at Monterey!
70

Some cool compositions here but pretty standard in the grand scheme in jazz

Don Ellis - Essence
38

Avant garde but not in the cool, interesting way but instead it’s boring and sounds uninspired and doesn’t even sound fun
Only 2 songs here I love

79

I love a lot of what this album does but I think other albums do what it does better
The psychedelic parts of open beauty was very unique tho

Members Only - Members Only, Vol. 3
81

70-81
When I first heard this I had no idea it would lay the groundwork for how my music taste in rap would evolve

Don Ellis - How Time Passes
65

I found this album a little boring and the improv song at the end pointless even with it taking half the runtime of the album

SEGA SOUND TEAM - 龍が如く4 伝説を継ぐもの オリジナルサウンドトラック (Vol.2)
74

The yakuza 4 soundtrack is so good it’s insane how well this translates from game into being an actual album not as solid as the first volume tho

SEGA SOUND TEAM - 龍が如く4 伝説を継ぐもの オリジナルサウンドトラック (Vol.1)
80

I love how jazzy this one is and has the best rock stuff just such a good soundtrack
Cut it down to 20 songs and you have a fantastic album but with the whole length it gets a 8/10

Hans Zimmer & Benjamin Wallfisch - Blade Runner 2049 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
70

Top 5 movie ever but the soundtrack is pretty basic when seen on its own and doesn’t touch the originals score

Incubus - S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
100

92->97
Incubus never got near this peak ever again everything about this is near perfect
Summer romance is an all timer for me ngl
97->100
peak

The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow
76

Surprisingly doesn’t feel bloated even tho it’s a bit long
Some stuff that could’ve been taken off tho
I like the more lowkey production compared to the last 2 records
All around really solid

Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
79

I like the more experimental quality’s of this record compared to the first but the music is about the same quality but a little better

"@TheCartoon the first 4, let me know and can I gaal yu don’t sound like anything else he’s done really The other songs could fit on his last 2 projects easily and I already feel those albums were a move in the wrong direction being pretty generic compared to what he’s capable of which he starts to show on here again for the first time since euro glime (not a huge fan of euro glime anyways but that project was unique)"
On 久石譲 [Joe Hisaishi] - 千と千尋の神隠し [Spirited Away Soundtrack]
"@recordmusic18 the soundtrack perfectly fits the movie and I wouldn’t want a different soundtrack for such a perfect movie but on its own when treated like a normal album of music it’s not great Like the ost for the video game like a dragon kenzan it’s a bad album on its own but the feudal Japan setting fits perfect for the style of music"
On Edward Skeletrix - Museum Music
"@bloxbusters what I mean is that I don’t feel like he sat down and made music casually and it popped out like this I feel like he’s creating music with the purpose of it being experimentation which works cool with the art of it but musically I prefer that to feel like a natural part of the artist process"
