70->71
Relistened to make sure I wasn’t crazy for rating echoes of silence lower and yeah this is better
Something actually different from all the ruby throat projects is very appreciated
Her worst singing
The most boring instrumentals she has sung on
Not much else to say
Everything about this record is solid but it’s missing the experimental and unhinged quality lullabies has that I loved so much
Nothing new from this compared to the ventriloquist but it got a little boring in the middle
The calmer more acoustic fits her vocal style a lot more than the heavy rock stuff from earlier in her career but this doesn’t have the electronic leaning stuff I like in some of the instrumentals on LIAGW but that’s okay
Just a complete step down in every way from her other works
68->64
Production is great but he was still getting better at rapping on this prod style
Has a bit more of the quality’s I liked from the first one but I like how different it is
Doesn’t have any of the qualities I loved about the first volume
Really like this it’s a bit more up my alley for jazz but there is definitely better stuff out there
Some really good stuff on here but also some pretty boring tracks especially in the 2nd half
Was not expecting this to be my favorite charles Mingus record but I was looking for more big band jazz stuff and thought I should check this out and I really really loved it
Only listening to this cause I wanna hear more big band jazz stuff
Pretty typical jazz to me but I hate the piano on here
