A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders

i honestly dont have much to say, this album is basically a slightly weaker low end theory, it still shares the same pure style, instrumentals and rapping from the group, and its still overall really good but just not as strong as the low end theory, there are some real jams in here and i overall liked almost every song here, its still great but is just overshadow by its older brother

well its basically just their last album but better in every way! its still a very pure form of hip hop but its just better with cooler performances and nicer production with the jazz, i dont really know what to say other than that this is just great and smooth with its rhymes and beats, its not the greatest thing ever but i still enjoyed it quite a bit and it was pretty outstanding for being made this early on in the rap scene

atcq makes their debut with just a pure album, by that i mean that its very standard with with some nice rhymes and some nice and jazzy instrumentals, its not really trying to be something experimental and unique, its just a more regular hip hop album, and it does its job well! its not anything too crazy but it still holds up with each of the members good performance and neat production, its just feels pretty comfy

death grips comes out with one of their most weird and surreal albums, having some pretty strange but interesting instrumentals, mc rides rapping is still great here and having the more dark themes like the manson family and others along side with the other factors makes this a pretty cool listen, its not as amazing as their other work but it still holds up really well and i overall enjoyed it quite a lot

one pretty interesting ep, consisting of 1 song thats split up into like 8 parts, the instrumentals sound a bit more futurist here which i think is pretty cool and mc rides is still great, it sometimes might feel a little too all over the place but it manages to stay neat enough, every part feels like a similar yet unique experience from the others, and its overall just a great ep thats sound pretty nice with its chaotic nature

Death Grips - Bottomless Pit

they somehow keep doing it, even after making another amazing album, they managed to make another thats even better than it, being a more return to tradition with some of the sickest and catchiest songs from the band, with mc rides just as usual great performances, every song here packs a punch, contains interesting instrumentals and are all amazing, and without a doubt the album is glorious with all of its factors combined

Death Grips - Interview 2016

i guess its just fashion week but slightly more interesting and not as bloated, i really dont know what to say other than that these are just some pretty cool instrumentals and it kinda just exists for some reason, and i mean i do like it a decent bit but once again i just dont see myself coming back to it and so yeah its alright uhhhhhh idk man

Death Grips - Fashion Week
68

well... i mean it just instrumentals, which are pretty good but like i dont really care for this that much, i still enjoyed it decently enough but its just zach and andy doin stuff and pulling it off but just i wouldnt really listen to this ever again, but its still solid enough for what it is, and this is also kind of a troll album

Death Grips - The Powers That B
88

well uh i already made indivdual reviews for notm and jenny death, so you can go check those out, but in short its kind of a weird blend between the 2 discs, notm i think is pretty good with its interesting concepts (80/100), while jenny death is in my opinion one of the most incredible and bombastic albums i have ever (100/100), and its just kinda weird with them being together and forming one kinda frankenstein monster of an album

Death Grips - Jenny Death

HOLY FUCKING SHIT, this feels like the final boss of music itself, one of the greatest and most powerful albums to date, with mc rides most hard hitting performances, and the most incredible production ive ever heard, every single song is an absolute blast in every way possible, amazingly consistant with every track being a banger, and are all very powerful in their own ways, in short its just an incredible and such hard hitting album that defies all expectations (atleast for me)

the powers that b starts off pretty good, it kinda has the same problem as government plates of them trying to be more abstract with their sound which im not a super fan of, i do think its excecuted here slightly better with interesting samples from bjork and in general just being more fun, rides rapping is a bit weid here and there but overall its a solid 1st disc and start of tptb

probably their weirdest album, everything about this is more abstract than any other death grips, and not for the better honestly, its still decent but i did find myself thinking some of the songs are bit too weird, there are still definetly a few bangers here, but it might just be too experimental for its own good, i still like rides rapping but overall its a good album that fell from trying to be a bit too different than their others

Death Grips - No Love Deep Web

weird deviation from death grips previous stuff, the instrumentals feels aggresive and not at the same time, with them sometimes including more phsychodelic sounding beats in songs, mc rides rapping is more lowkey and not as loud, and while this might be a bit of a far cry from the money store or exmilitary, i still think its good in its own unique way, being more chill with the aggressiveness still sprinkled in there

just a good step up from exmilitary, mc rides rapping is great and the instrumentals are phenomenal, almost every song here is an absolute head banger and just so energetic, i think its more consistantly amazing than exmilitary, and aside from a few songs like lost boys and blackjack bringing the score down a bit, every other song is great or amazing in their own way, i just really love the experimental nature of this entire album

an insane spectacle for a debut project by death grips, almost every song here blasts ass with mc rides loud rapping and the really neat production, now some songs arent as interesting as others but most of them are always engaging in some way in a really bombastic way and it just makes this mixtape a really interesting listen, its not perfect but it sure does still amaze me with how good it is, this is one great debut

CZARFACE & MF DOOM - Super What?

its another doom album, its fine with good performances from doom and czar, the production is good, i honestly dont have like anything to say about this, its kinda short and the songs are pretty good, but idk it was kinda boring compared to other doom albums but its still pretty good

once again another pretty underrated doom album, a good collab with good chemistry between doom and czar, with solid rapping and production, its just a fun experience with the both of them, the album is a bit bloated near the end and there arent like any super standout songs, but its still pretty consistently good, just not like amazing or anything but still solid performances from both of them

honest pretty underrated, its nothing too crazy but its a pretty solid collab between doom and nehru, the production is good, nehru does mostly take the show with his good rapping, but doom still sometimes slides in with some bars, i guess some points are lost with this being very short but its not too bad, overal its just a good collab with good performances for both of them

JJ DOOM - Key to the Kuffs

despite doom seemingly starting to lose his masterful grip, this album is still alright. dooms voice has become deeper, and the way he raps also now is slightly more of traditional rap, the usual components of a doom album are kinda there, with alright production from jneiro and decent vocals from doom, one problem is that the songs are kinda forgettable but overal the album is still alright
