Pink Floyd - Meddle

100th review very swag

this feels like atom heart mother part 2, theyre both similar in alot of ways, theyre quality level is about the same having the usual psychedelic rock stuff, and one really long adventurous song, speaking of which echoes while i still think is great, just a lil overrated with a few parts of nothingness, the other songs are all solid, this album is really just an on par continuation of their formula from previous albums

an absolute comeback from whatever the hell ummagumma was, here the band goes for a more calming folk type of sound, having some nice singing with calming yet sometimes more loud rock instrumentals, sure it might be a bit empty here and there but overall it manages to be engaging and relaxing throught alot of the album, by this point theyre really starting to get their signature style down

yeah no, im sorry but this is just not it, all of them were definetly high when making this, its a very mixed bad because songs like the narrow way actually have something nice to them, while the others are straight up basically just random noises, and the reason why this isnt a lower score is because atleast the random noises arent like super unbareable, in short its just a really random and underwhelming album

Pink Floyd - More

a bit of an inconsistent mess, the highs here are definetly very good, but the lows are really just whatever, its not a bad album, but they couldve done more, a few songs here have like barely anything going on, the calm atmosphere here can work sometimes, but here especially it results in the album being kinda boring, and while there are definetly tracks that i would come back to, its not a big amount

its just a slight step up from their last album, having a bit more interesting sounding psychedelic instrumentals with some good singing, its pretty similar sounding to the piper, but its just slightly more enjoyable, they also have their first go at a 10+ minute song with decent success, its once again not anything crazy but its a good vibe of an album, theres not much other than its good

pink floyd makes their debut with a decent album, having some interesting psychadelic and sometimes weird sounding instrumentals with some nice singing, theres not really much to write about, every song is just consistantly pretty good, sometimes there are quite big parts that dont have any singing which makes it a bit boring, but overall its a solid start to the band with some experimentation of the genre

just more proof that ok computer is their best album, even the cut b sides are still peak, theyve got the same sound as the rest of the album has, having really nice rock instrumentals with thoms singing, even though i like the more ambient sound of future radiohead, i just have always preferred the less ambient sound of them, like ok computer and the bends, and overall i still really enjoyed this

i mean its a lil overrated, it feels similar to kid a with it being more somber and quiet, but idk it just feels a bit more dull than it, dont get me wrong i still quite like the songs here, just not as much as their other work, i get the tone of it being depressing which can be interesting but its just not that much for me, once again this album is still really solid, just in my opinion not as good as people say

Radiohead - The King of Limbs

probably their most simple album yet, its not trying to be innovative in any way, its just a bare miniumum radiohead album. which that doesnt make it bad, i like some of the simplicity of the songs, theyre not anything amazing but all of them are atleast alright, some of that might make it boring which i can see, but personally i still enjoy it, its overall pretty decent

i mean, its just more in rainbows songs, theyre a little weaker than on the main album but theyre still good! i dont have much to say since its just the same type of sound as the main album, so you can just go see my review of that, this is just a slightly weaker in rainbows, yeah theres not much else to say

this one kinda flew by quicker than i expected, its an album that has a nice calming sound to it, and while i do think they couldve just a little more with the instrumentals because of that, the rest of the albums aspects are still great with thoms lush singing and the interesting lyrics, the album feels more laid back than their others, which isnt a bad thing! overall its a great album with lots to enjoy

the way this album sounds feels like a combination of ok computer and kid a, having both some somber and more energetic moments, and it works! its a great album, quite a few standouts here, thoms singing is still just as good, and the instrumentals are still nice, it might fall a bit flat here and there but its mostly pretty consistantly good, its really solid overall, being really consistent and nice with its sound and lyrics

this is really just a more boring kid a, its still pretty decent but leaves some stuff to be desired, the singing and instrumentals are a bit more quiet and lowkey in here which in my opinion just doesnt make it as interesting, its a bit inconsistent with having some awkward low points, but the highs are still great! in short, its like kid a's overshadowed little brother, but i still enjoyed it

radiohead goes with a more atmospherical and somber style on this album, with really solid excecution! some of the parts might feel a bit empty at points but i do get it being sorta going with the style of the album, it sounds pretty interesting with thom's more calm and melancholic singing. its not as great as some of their previous work, but it still manages to hold up as a cool ambient album

now look, this might not be like one of the best albums of all time, but i would be lying if i said this still wasnt amazing! the lyrics and vocals from thom are really interesting, the instrumentals feel like just another step up from their previous albums with great guitars that go well with the singing, and the track selection ties everything up neatly, now some parts of the album might feel a bit lullaby-ish but its a small nitpick, pretty much everything here is really damn solid!

just a great album from radiohead, its really just an overall improvement from pablo honey, having really solid instrumentals and nice singing from thom yorke, pretty much every song has a good chord progression and have pretty interesting lyrics and vocals, i did prefer the songs with more energetic instrumentals and guitars, but the more sombers one are still good, its not the best but just a really nice album!

yep, im gonna be honest, this is really damn underrated! its really not like amazing but it certaintly still pretty good, i like the singing, the instrumentals can be really good with the guitar solos and while some of the tracks might sound the same i dont think its that big o deal, i just honestly dont get the hate for it, its memorable and good in my opinion, idk i guess i just see something here that others dont

the group comes back after 18 years to bring an album which is one of their best works to date, the rapping and beats are on par as like the low end theory but they got some more experimental stuff this time, having an ever so slightly psychedelic sound and also having quite a lot of features that really add to the tracks, which the songs themselves are probably the most unique in their discography, and this is overall an really great album!

this is the groups lowest point, and its still really not bad! its definetly a bit of far downhill from their peak, but this album still manages to be decent, the songs are still relatively the same, but theyre still pretty good, the instrumentals and rapping is good and j dilla brings somewhat interesting beats here and q-tip and phife still bring good performances, its not amazing but still pretty alright

its another tribe album, gonna be honest they havent really innovated their sound at all really, but the sound they do still got here is pretty good, their rapping is decently on par and the instrumentals might be a bit more boring than their previous albums, theyre still nice and i enjoy some of them, the jazz is still there and its pretty good, even though i didnt enjoy it as much as their previous work, its still good
