Björk - Vulnicura

a really solid breakup album, the orchestral sound here is really nice here, it might be a bit empty sounding here and there but its mostly great, bjorks singing is still good as usual, shes just consistently been able to sing well her entire career, overall the album is really interesting, isnt as good as some of her older work but still is able to be really cool with its premise and excecution

Yung Jicken Walk Em Down - GEORGIA4LIFE
NR

1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Björk - Biophilia

much more of an ambient and relaxing album from bjork, the concept is interesting, her voice is still really nice, the instrumentals, while being more basic than usual, are still pretty cool and comforting alot of the time, with there still being a bit of an electronic sound present, it isnt like anything super crazy, but its still really great and manages to do suprisingly well with a more ambient sound

Björk - Volta

this cover is blessing my eyes
you know what, i think this is still pretty great, it feels like bjork going back to her original roots, alot of this sounds similar to debut, while still having some sparks of the electronic and jazzy sound from her other albums, while it does kinda fall off at the end, the start of the album has some really cool and soothing tracks, this ANOHNI guy is a pretty nice feature, overall the album is solid

definetly a more "experimental" and weird album comapred to her previous work, while her voice is still really nice and soothing on this album, the instrumentals can be a bit lackluster sometimes, the entirety of them are just acapellas, which can still sound cool, but they can also make the songs sound empty, i dont know how to feel about all the short songs on here, the album is still good but weird

Björk - Vespertine

just beautiful, almost every song feels like im walking through an enchanting forest in the winter, the instrumentals manage to be both loud and in your face while also being very soothing and lush, bjorks singing is still just as amazing as usual, the writing is very interesting (im not gonna go deep into but i promise its very epic), just overall a magical experience, not fully perfect but still awesome

Björk - Homogenic

this is basically like an upgrade to her previous album, post, its got a very similar electronic and kinda cold and dystopian vibe but its just better, more cinematic and grand sounding instrumentals, bjorks singing has become more refined, the lyrics are interesting, everything about this album is fantastic, it feels like shes finally figured out her formula and manages to absolutely run with it

i like debut slightly more, but this is still a really cool album, half of the songs sound futurist and electronic and the other half again sounds much like folk, and both styles are excecuted really nicely, bjorks voice still sound really good and i like the playful vibe thats still present here, the album overall just sounds like a more futuristic and abstract version of debut (the last 2 songs kinda ruin the album a bit)

the album feels fun and calming at the same time, the instrumentals range from being upbeat and jazzy to being more relaxing and sounding like folk, bjorks voice also captures those feelings too, being energetic and hitting high notes while also being able to sing calmly in other songs, what im saying is that she manages to pull off both styles really well, and its just mostly fun and playful

Playboi Carti - MUSIC

technically its not as bad and annoying as whole lotta red, but this album is just SO much more boring compared to it, an entire 30 songs of just boring carti rap and generic rage beats (except a few), it doesnt reach the lows that whole lotta red did but this album is more consistent with its shittyness, and it drags on for even longer than wlr, i only listened to 1/3rd of it and i already got bored

i critiqued die lit for having cartis vocals sound sleepy, while here its the complete opposite problem, his voice can be just utterly ridiculous sounding here to the point it gets funny, in short its just incredibly annoying, and even for the songs where he isnt as annoying, those tracks are boring cus the beats themselves are also boring alot of the time, there are a few songs that are actually fun, but those are very few, its also just quite bloated, nobody needs over an hour of this shit, ... read more

its really just a more repetetive and boring version of his self titled mixtape, there are some good songs, some bad songs, and alot of meh, the beats kinda blend into eachother, theyre not really that unique, and cartis vocals have the same problems as i mentioned before, theyre kinda repetetive and sleepy, its still alright and there are a few bangers here but i just dont care for quite a bit of this album

this mixtape is pretty simple and that factor sometimes works, sometimes doesnt, i did really like pretty much every beat here, they work well as some nice hard hitting trap, the biggest flaw here are cartis vocals, the man isnt exactly known to have the most thought provoking of lyrics, and theyre kinda just repetetive quite a few times, and other times he sounds kinda sleepy, but even then i still think the tape is decent

i mean, it wasnt exactly worth over 7 years of waiting but the album still pretty good, its not anything that special compared to his other albums, but its just kinda fun, theres nothing in particular thats super amazing or anything but its just a collection of some solid rocky rapping and solid trap beats, theres like a little bit of psychedelia but its not anything noteworthy, the features are also fine

i dont know man this kinda just feels like a diet version of all of his previous albums, the cloud rap is there, the trap is there, but all of that is just decent, the album is mostly some standard east coast hip hop with a few interesting cloudy songs here and there, its good but still definetly more boring and generic comapred to his previous projects, the ideas are there but not fleshed out enough

rocky goes back to a more psychedelic sound, he doesnt accomplish it as well as in live love asap, but this is still great, its almost kinda jazzy in quite a few songs, rockys rapping is still good and the production can be a bit empty sometimes it also manages to be really cool with its cloudy aspects, overall it stays pretty consistantly great, maybe a bit bloated but i still really liked it

how does this have a song thats way worse than anything on the main album and 2 songs that are way better than anything on the main album

A$AP Rocky - LONG.LIVE.A$AP

a bit of a large drop in quality compared to live love asap, but the album is still pretty great, rockys rapping holds up and the production is good with some standard sounding trap beats, and it is in general more standard compared to his previous mixtape, which i think might be the reason why i liked that one much more, i really love the most psychedelic approach of that one, but this is still great
