The man is pushing 40 still talking bout "searching ebony a$$" or whatever he said. Very average beats and all "drake coded". I expected more for a comeback album especially with that crazy rollout. There were few highlights on this but I don't think I will enjoy them for too long. Disappointing yet expected.
This has to be an album of the year contender by the end of the year. The production on this masterpiece is just a different level of creativity and ability. The deep and heart wrenching lyrical content of the songs just proves why Injury Reserve/By Storm are one of the best and most consistent to ever do it. RIP Stepa J. Groggs.
Perfect ending to such a dense and dark trilogy. Really messed up and The Weeknd just continued painting pictures in your head of that drughead psychopathic narcissist that exploits women for absolutely anything. Very dark but extremely well executed.
Psychopathic concept with bright vocals is what could describe this mixtape. This contradiction is what makes it fabulous and just adds a heavy lot to the concept of the trilogy. The Weeknd delivered on Thursday (no pun intended).
Easily one of the best records of the year. Saba absolutely delivered with his always on spot creative and impressive flow and No I.D. is just being the legendary producer he is making some of the best sounding boom bap and jazz rap beats we have heard this decade so far. Need more from the duo as they unironically go extremely hard together. My favourite tracks off this album are definitely Westside Bound Pt. 4, 30secchop and Crash. The features have also delivered with no misses on this ... read more
Flawless record with some of the nastiest and most genius and out of the box bars. I can't stop praising Denzel's flow and lyrical performance on this record nor can I stop glazing the eerie and hardcore boom bap type production by Kenny. Perfect record and is extremely accessible to me considering it's length and the overall sound of the record despite the beats being fairly experimental.
As expected from the feature list and the lead singles, Danny was going to go with a completely different direction and style on this record. Do I like the new direction though? Yes and no. This album obviously shows how unexperienced Danny is because this is his first time trying this on a full length album but he delivered most of the time. The album did feel like a mess but because that was the direction and the concept it went well and didn't come off as bad. The opening track Book Of ... read more
Some of the wackiest and cringiest bars I have heard in a very long time. Trying too hard in only 5 tracks made the record feel like hell. Did not enjoy it to be honest. The only solid tracks here are Nazlet Seman and Ymkin Ala Bali but the rest are just too bad for me to care about again.
What on gods green earth did travis scott just produce and publish to the public. Probably the biggest drop in recent history going from Utopia one of the most consistent trap albums of the 2020's to this pure terror. I didn't enjoy a single track here to a point that would make me want to relisten again in the future. I'm not saying this album has 0 moments but it definitely has way more bads than goods if there are any. Poor album.
One of the better records of the year. Very consistent throughout with a lot of bangers. I thought Hip Hop was dead 🤔
Not as good and complete as The Plugs I Met 1 however still has a handful of perfect tracks. Maybe proof that the feature list does matter when it comes to Benny's music.
The leader of the black soprano family has delivered a boom bap and hip hop essential record right there. Very good and concise record. If thats not perfect then I don't know what is.
Heavily overrated but doesn't mean its terrible. Definitely has its bangers and many underrated tracks that no one talks about just because they aren't catchy but this albums has a good handful of skips. The mixing on this is also pretty bad and that has to reduce the rating of the album and the way I view it. Pop rap is not my thing but this represents it well. Decent album.
It's never too late to listen to this masterpiece. A flawless conceptual album that influences every artist out there to this day. It's hard to believe this was produced 40+ years back because of how complete this record is. 10/10
A very emotional and heavily artistic introspective album with many beautifully produced tracks and some heavy hitting lines of poetry. I love this.
I did not know that this genre can make a grown man cry. An album with a concept. Album with great lyricism. The mourning of a close friend cannot be expressed in a better way. RIP Stepa J. Groggs.
Very experimental record that hopefully kicks off a new era in Egyptian Hip Hop especially in the mainstream scene. But the album hit a new low with poor tracks like S7aba and Kol Shey' Bymot. Far from Abyusif's best work but we can take the good moments from it and cherish them.
An evolution in cloud rap and the start of an era. Another project that shows how influential Carti is.
