Decent album, great production and carrier of a strong message much needed today.
But the marketing and advertising for it was just awful
Masterful fusion tango.
Astor Piazzolla is quite possibly the most revolutionary artist who beautifully perfected and fused a traditional genre (like tango) with more european of anglo-centric musical aspects. I never get tired of this record. It's been like 6 years since I first heard it, and I enjoy almost every single little thing in it.
The concept is dark and obscure, really interesting. The guitar work by Frank and Ray is in all moments superb, Mikey's signature simplistic basslines are accurate, Gerard's vocals are beautiful, and the harmonies are great. The drumming is sometimes odd (a lot of sound replacement that is really evident sometimes), but still that doesn't substract from the rush ... read more
