leaving all the detail from his previous production Madeon fully embraces pop music, the result is a refreshing change of pace within his discography
bland songwritting on top of what sounds like royalty free music levels of bland
much as the dark tone of reputation the sweet tone of this track is rather unconvincing and overkill
the spelling part was kind of hard to listen to
this kinda sounds like if the kid from your class who just learned how to play guitar and only plays wonderwall and the kid who watches Rick and Morty made an album
gesaffelstein brings the dark ambiances he is known for but the vocals don't always compliment his sound, it loses it's somber quality and it starts resembling a electro/indie song you'd hear on a netflix series soundtrack
at this point I have played creative way more than survival so this volume resonates more with me than alpha
mimicking MJ might of worked to a certain degree in his past but this time the result is bland
same with what he did with I love your smile by shanice it seems more like a disservice to the artist he references/samples rather than a homage
it sounds more bubbly than their previous EPs, however, it still has the usual issues most kpop projects that get released months after the previous suffer from, it sounds rushed and the mixing and songwriting are not the greatest
what does tell BTS apart form the other groups is their intention to wrap every project with a concept this one being about each member reflecting on fame but unless you're reading the lyrics along or know korean I doubt the album will convey it.
the songwriting is sub par at best, it goes back and forward between vague to weirdly specific just for the likes of being relatable
Anxiety is probably the most unbearable one, it feels manipulative rather than vulnerable or honest,
it mentions this easily relatable scenarios and traits and then goes "all my friends they don't understand..." accompanied with Julia Michael's over dramatic vocal delivery
the rest is very bland love pop songs
nothing special
kinda dissapointing considering they showed more creativity with DNCE and nick's solo career
greta van fleet just falls short at working with the sound they're going for without sounding like it's been already done nor being able to push the 60's hard rock any further than a creative dead-end that can only be entertaining for so long.
it's the most Muse-ish album in a while which will please fans, but it's sadly highlighting the shortcomings they had all along rather than their strengths as they commit to a trend without adding anything new nor exciting with the exception of a few songs
one of the most satisfying remasters so far
the new mix adds so much weight and detail to the album, the compression isn't awkward like it's usually in remasters specially from albums this old where the different mastering practices from different times clash.
not only that but the humongous amount of extra content, takes ans such is so satisfying and entertaining to listen to and doesn't feel like they're scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
not everything is equally as good in this project but the highlights nail it too hard to not praise it
