it's a pretty standard compilation I appreciate how they preferred single mixes over album mixes and other details to keep it a fresh remembrance experience
it does show how much perfume/yasutaka nakata pushed the envelope for pop music in general never too long in their comfort zone
J-hope recreating early 2000's hip hop and blend it with more modern production has always been appealing to me
but this one didn't land so well
this song seems to have some sense of humor giving the title, sneezing between verses etc. from j-hope's part, However, Becky G adds barely anything to the song and as soon as she raps she makes the song really awkward as she seems to take the song too seriously and does all this bragging about herself seem so forced and insecure
The only redeeming quality is Rob Scallon's instrumentation
not only Doug's singing is awful but it's somehow overshadowed by his terrible understanding of "The Wall"
he doesn't get the in your face concepts each song develops but he also attempts to flanderize whatever he understands of each one of them.
The example that sticks out the most is Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2 where Doug can't grasp that the context of the song being the educational system in the late 50's early ... read more
Lana was the only part that felt fitting with the charlie's angels theme and she has the advantage that she doesn't have to wrestle with that distracting beat for attention
Ariana just gave what feels like a throwaway verse that could have ended on her last album, and Miley's lyrics were lacking and kind of awkward
after years of experimenting with PC music we see what might be charli's final vision of the sound and it's glossy, weird and genuinely fun
also some of the best features I've heard all year, the chemistry is palpable
the demo was better
BTS didn't really lift this song
the first two singles were a huge disservice to the album, the sound of it is more along the lines of 'The Archer' and 'Lover'
it's mayor problem is that some cuts are really bland
thought not the best nor mind bending when it comes to production on the bubblegum bass/hyper pop trend this album's songwriting and versatility is remarkable, some of the most cleverly written pop music in this decade
there's something wrong when each song takes a significant nosedive in quality as soon as chance hops into it with bars worthy of pitbull himself
the production is by far the best quality of this
but this sounds unnecessary and hard to pair with the Lion King
really awkward song witting that feels like it's just filling up check marks on pop music 101 instead of being written in a way her feelings get translated into lyrics in the best way possible
after a while several songs start to merge with each other
not a big fan of song translations they don't really hold the same impact as the originals and this is no exception
lights doesn't really make a strong impression either, it's quite bland
