This album has grown on me each time I listen— I still am not in love with it and feel it’s sequenced in a way that flows a little too well and feels a little boring after a while. But a lot of amazing stuff here for sure. We’ll see if it keeps growing.
Nvm this is a near perfect tracklist. Only complaint is that some outros are fairly long.
Fantastic, arguably more passionate and inspired than Kendrick's Watch the Party Die.
JVKE's part is fine-- Nick Jonas's part makes it feel a bit standard overall, and the production is a little overbearing at times, but overall, decent.
LL's part's cool but I can't stand Eminem's tone here. Just sounds bad. He raps good but it's so distracting, and I liked his delivery on a good bit of his new album.
I like this album, but fail to see how it's remarkable. I lot of the beats feel lethargic and low-production in a way that keeps the groove going but without any real progression. Not to say there isn't good, interesting production-- especially on the second half-- but not in the amount of nuance and uniqueness I would expect from a 90-rated album. There are some songs with nice lyrics and I like her voice, but failing to see how this is a classic record.

While the lyrics are some of his best, his high tone and fast speed makes it hard to get nearly as much out of it as he's trying to.
Very nice overall, quite atmospheric, and Cole goes in, but I do feel like the uncomfortable vibe would work better in the context of an album than as a single.
The follow up to my sister's first EP, "Originals." is still full of great lyrical ideas and vocals, but definitely does in my opinion feature a bit of a sonic regression from her first in that it largely features one or two instruments on most tracks and opts for simpler melodic structures with less switch ups. Because of this, the project feels a little more one-note than its predecessor. Still a lot of fantastic ideas, and lyrics that are in most cases not far off from the ... read more
This is the first of my sister's EPs released 6 years ago and this project still holds up really really well. In spite of the EP sounding a little cheap as a whole due to equipment/software, it's very largely made up for by both phenomenal musical ideas mixed in with excellent lyricism throughout. Mia writes a handful of fantastic songs that, even written at a young age, still hold up fantastically years later. Her vocals have definitely gotten even better over time but they still ... read more
First one's nice-- second one tries to attempt a more upbeat sound but execution on it's a little clunky and predictable.
All The Way To Memphis - 79
How Do I Know If I'm In Love - 69
It's quite nice but definitely is a little languid in comparison to some of the other singles.
Mason's vocals are a little weak at the start but get fantastic through the middle and end and it's a wonderful throwback song overall.
I gotta be honest here-- I try to be positive on this site, but I just don't get this one at all. The theatrical vocal style is insufferable to me, and the production, while interesting and really quite strong in a different context, isn't enough to save it. I guess I can somewhat appreciate it for its ambition and uniqueness, and I guess that in some niche listening scenarios this might sound decent, but as it stands I kinda think this song sucks. The steely dan comparisons are wild ... read more
Beat's gorgeous, and chance is good on here but not amazing in comparison to some of the other singles.
Sweet vibes, nothing crazy, but continues a nice aesthetic and I prefer it to Devil is a Lie.
