Godspeed You! Black Emperor - "Luciferian Towers"
58

This is what every hater of Godspeed thinks their music is. Little payoff for anything, pretty dull, and pretty long. There is a good album in here somewhere. I just can’t find it

Leonard Cohen - Songs of Leonard Cohen
98

Absolutely spell binding. Beautifully preformed, written, and sung

Kaijak - siren submerged
75

Pretty decent ambient from the goat of ambient

N-Ster - David Man
55

Honestly, really funny. The vocals and mixing aren’t the best but the guitar honestly slaps and the songwriting is really entertaining. It’s just a guy making funny shit up and it’s awesome

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
80

God I am such a loser

Frank Ocean - channel ORANGE
83

An infectious debut album with an intriguing concept to back it up. Honestly, even though I do love this album, I am glad Frank switched it up on Blonde. I could easily see him becoming a washed up pop star who can’t live up to what he did beforehand. But, he didn’t. He instead chose to put out a banger album with this one and then made us cry four years later

Lou Reed - Transformer
92

On par with velvet underground and Nico to my surprise

Death Grips - The Powers That B
95

An album as abstract as it is emotional and filled with meaning.

This album is very important to me. As have a sad cum was the first death grips song I’ve ever heard. (Mainly because I saw the title in a pyrocinycal video and I was very intrigued by the title). The song was so confusing to me. But I didn’t hate it. And then I listened to it more and more. Then I listened to the money store and I loved the shit out of that album so I thought: why not listen to the powers that b ... read more

Pusha T - My Name Is My Name
60

Very very mixed bag. Some songs are good, few songs are incredible highlights. Where as most songs tread that water of being pretty forgettable and not aging the best. The true lows come from Kanye I think crooning and that terrible Chris brown chorus

Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.A.A.d city
91

An important album that’s story is extremely interesting. This album feels like it came out in 2012, but not in a bad way

Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak
81

An insane risk to take at the time I’m for sure that paid off very well. This album is great despite some weird choices. Say you will would’ve been one of the best tracks on here if there wasn’t a two minute long instrumental outro for no reason, see you in my nightmares existing, and Pinocchio story feeling like a leak of some sorts. But despite that, the album is still catchy in its sorrows. Which is displayed at its best with the insanely catchy and well produced welcome to ... read more

N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton
75

As a statement, this thing is awesome. But as an album, it’s flawed. The decision to start this thing off with two of the most iconic songs in rap music history is certainly a setup for disappointment for the rest of the album

Nas - It Was Written
83

Great album. Even though it lives in its older brothers shadow. It has highlights that would’ve fit perfectly on illmatic

Swans - White Light from the Mouth of Infinity
90

An insanely captivating and hypnotic journey through whatever world this band was creating. The instrumentation, while being similar in song structure, always sounds beautiful and Gira and Jarboe can always match it in lyricism.

MF DOOM - Born Like This
78

First half is great. Sounds like classic DOOM. But the second half leaves a lot to be desired. Supervillianz sounds like something my friends and I would make

Destroy Lonely - If Looks Could Kill
19

This album brings nothing to the table whatsoever. Lonely is a horribly forgettable mic presence and I forget every single song once the next song starts. Easily the worst album I’ve heard this year so far

Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra - He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms…
99

How do you put this albums beauty into words? I genuinely do not know man. The first half of the album is great but that second half is honestly flawless and borders on tear jerking. If you haven’t already just please listen to this album

billy woods & Kenny Segal - Maps
81

To absolutely nobody’s surprise, billy woods makes a good album. With an intriguing concept to back it up the whole way through. But this one distinguishes itself because it mentions better call Saul
