A really charming return to form that is kind of a slog in the middle but really picks it up in its backside hahahahahha
Way less interesting to me as it feels like they wanted to reach everybody with this sound they’ve been developing since the start of the decade. And it clearly worked. This album is very catchy and layered with some great production and singing at works. But after listening, my only thought was “damn, I miss that freaky shit”
Less freaky than sung tongs. Which I think is fitting. But, I do prefer that album for having more of a defined sound. That is not a knock to this album though. This album is beautifully sung and produced all the way throughout.
This is what I wanted to see from the band since the beginning. A beautiful, freaky folk album that’s hard to pin down. Even the long winded tracks still had me hypnotized. Overall, a near perfect album in my eyes that will keep me coming back
A step in the right direction, but still directionless with lots of boring parts. Especially during the beginning. The end does start to pick up though
A great hip hop album. Killer production and hooks. I love the gospel inspiration in the hooks it sounds great. However, the writing can be hit or miss and the flows can get a bit uninteresting
With everything the group had set up with the debut, it’s very disappointing that we got this. A boneless album with nothing really to it other than how annoying and sparse it is
For a debut, this thing has so many cool ideas. With elements of psychedelic, piano ballads, and even with some elements of noise. And it makes for a very enjoyable experience
A boring snooze fest with one of the worst album covers I’ve seen like c’mon
Honestly, better than I thought it’d be. I really like the guitars and especially the bass. Also I didn’t even know korn was on here but that song was also better than I thought
Some pretty high highs mixed in with some very boring and uninteresting lows. I did not expect the quality to dip to here this early. It’s not bad though it’s just kind of eh
Three albums in and this one is definitely the weakest. It’s not bad in the slightest it’s just not as well produced as what came before it and just in general. But ice cube is still ice cube and sounds spot on here
A big step up from his debut. Such a cool concept pulled out with flying colours
While I do very much enjoy the album, I am also kinda frustrated because it feels like it should have been so much better. For instance, the beginning of the album starts out decently strong. But then the middle of the album is so much more spaced out and long panned for no reason and I quickly lost interest. And then boom, the end came in with some bangers. If you get this album more densely produced, then I think you have something very special. The singing from both members sounds nice and ... read more
Solid mixtape. Some great Future classics arrive here. But often but not, can be inconsistent with some boring mush showing it’s stupid face
I really like the ideas and the general risk Future took on this thing. Going for a more poppy element. And I think it paid off decently well. But, the first half is way better. The first half has better production, catchier hooks, and better vocal performances from future. But overall, yeah I like this album
This was the first future project I listened to. And while I did think it was good, I think I did write it off. But coming back to it now, after listening to more of Future’s stuff. I have to say, this thing hits like an absolute truck. The production can go from floaty to banger avenue. Future’s hooks are so damn catchy and he flows very well over these beats. Overall, this is my favourite future project so far and a classic within trap and I don’t think anybody’s gonna ... read more
Very solid trap album with great production, great hooks, and pretty good features. If this thing was like 3 or 4 songs shorter it’d be an 8 without a doubt
