The boy who cried rizz
This album is an insane step up from their debut. While it may be shorter, it makes every second impactful in terms of emotion and writing. It’s not surprising that the music nerds love this album. It’s filled with everything they’d want. Seamless transitions, odd yet endearing songwriting and the beautiful instrumentation throughout the entire album.
Absolutely genius. The compositions on here are on another level for a work of art that released so long ago. It’s the special kind of genius too. The one you wouldn't expect at a first glance. But the farther you dive in, the more you know
A great debut from one of the most avant garde groups in music. There are some skips but you also have some great ones in there too
I see this album more as an obituary to the late Carrie and Lowell. And while sometimes it may be musically one dimensional, the writing and overall beauty enhances this album tenfold
Better than thriller. So groovy and Michael has one of the best voices ever. Loved it to death
This! Album! Goes! Insanely! Hard! And! Has! Great! Vocal! Performances! On! Every! Track!
I wonder if that joke has gotten old or not…
More like the devil and god are cumming inside me
One of the better emo rockers I’ve heard
EDIT (88-94): This album fucking rocks, dude. Everything for me just hits. The vocals are strong, same goes for the songwriting. Every song is great both compositionally and with how they sound. And despite how sad this album is, it is insanely addicting. I cannot put it down. Overall, probably the best ‘emo’ album I’ve ever heard.
Great production on this thing honestly. But I find Jack really uninteresting and kinda corny on this project. But he is serviceable and I didn’t hate him. He is really carried by production though
A very creative pop rock album that’s insanely striking and catchy at the same time. But does tend to lean on the pretentious sound at times
I could probably play this all day and never get sick of it. It’s so mellow with a little bit of a kick so it doesn’t get boring. Which makes it perfect to just throw it on and just relax and go through your day
Honestly, the best solo work of Ye in the 2010’s. It may be all over the place, but it works. And I love it for that reason
