James brings a lot of ideas in this album. Some of them land, some don’t. But it overall brings an enjoyable experience to the listener that doesn’t overstay its welcome
I respect this album a shit ton. It feels like Kendrick needed to make it and get everything off of his mind. Really delving into how messy his life background and his mental psyche is. While also delivering some absolute bangers. But sometimes, I feel as if he can come off a bit out of touch, on production that doesn’t suit his strong suits as a rapper. But overall, a great rap album and a must listen from last year.
Very striking album. I think it’s a bit too avant- grade for me but it’s still a cool and unique album
Phenomenal. I’m not sure what else to say really. The way these two genres clash is so satisfying it’s insane. Just a masterpiece from the 2010’s and one to check out if you haven’t
Just some nice, simple jazz music. Nothing mind blowing but a calm listen
What a comeback. What a journey. The whole album is great but mladic is probably one of the best songs of the 2010’s
Holy shit. I’ve been listening to this thing all day and it’s so addicting. It may not be a lyrical masterpiece, the mixes could be more clean. But this album is so incredibly fun and shows off these two pioneers chops as rappers so well. This is everything I wanted from this album. Hats off to you boys
Some incredible pop songs on here, dragged down by some drawn out parts and that cringe skit at the end of the girl is mine that shit was terrible
Almost flawless. Hov doesn’t skip a beat on this thing. The production is some of the best the genre has to offer. The choruses are catchy and memorable. Idk what else to say it’s just a masterpiece in the rap genre and will always be
Bangers on bangers that are incredibly produced. With some of the most heart and soul I’ve heard in a pop album. I think this will be one of the most important albums going forward in the underground pop scene
It’s really really good and it feels like a natural evolution from the neofolk stuff. But I do prefer that Swans over this one. It just didn’t hit me as hard and that sucks. The album though is really really good like I said. But I think this is the most overrated in their catalog
Everything here feels so effortless, but in a good way. Snoop has such a cool and collected flow over these effortlessly catchy beats and melodies. I feel like this album gets overlooked a lot of the time and I’m not sure why. It’s a great and fun listen
High quality album. But I don’t think this will be the peak of redveil. Which is a good thing and I’ll definitely listen to whatever he puts out next. He has a ear for production at such a young age, which is insane
A classic that’s earned its reputation in my opinion. Lou Reed’s songwriting is unmatched back then and even now to a certain extent
