As a Hylics fan, this needs way more attention. I think Alexir's review sums it up quite well.
You see, with this LP I genuinely just imagined that I was at an instrumental no wave concert with a drunken Swedish person yammering in my ear.
Thank you @JennyStar for the recommendation.
Is this jazz? Is this metal? I never knew I'd be confused between those two genres, but I truly feel like this paints the bridge across both.
Thanks to @JennyStar for the recommendation.
I feel like this is a realy homey and fun album to listen to.
Please give me more and more and more
"Emoviolence" yeah you had me at that secondary.
Now listen alright, "SPACE YOU ARE GIVING OUT TOO MANY TENS, YOU HAVE TO ST-", LISTEN ALRIGHT. This is beautiful, and I say that wholehartedly. I have listened to it twice now, and I wanna listen another time, and another, and another, and another, and so on and so forth. Whatever this is, I need more of it, NOW.
Wow, really just wow. I thought I hit the peak of vaporwave-esque music with DDS and Lopatin, but this takes it to another level. Make it a bit more ambient, and you get this tranquil beauty of a record.
Hold on now and listen, I am unsure why people gave this a -- in my opinion -- low rating; however, I personally enjoyed it a lot, and I think I actually listened to it three times in a row because I loved it so much lmao.
I've already said this before to some people, but I'll just say it over here so people can see.
This record is my life-long goal, and I really want to complete it at some point when I retire. There is no other reason for this being my life-long goal for music reviewing other than the fact that it has hypnagogic pop as a genre and it is 1000 hours long (seems like a nice milestone to have ngl). So yeah, the day you see this album being "listened to" by me is when you know I ... read more
"Space you shouldn't encourage BOH-inspired projects because people need their own inspiration and they are also quite bor-" listen I understand alright, but look at that cover. Not to mention I would say it was a really good "ambient" record (I am horrible with assigning genres to things). I would listen to this over and over as a song itself, and I will stare at the cover for days on end. You are welcome :)
I will say that this is a really well-constructed record with many in's and out's, plus I never felt bored of it, neither did I feel like it was too short, so I'd say that deserves a high score.
Once again, thanks to @4Riot for the recommendation.
This was a very nice Jazz Rap record, and it could be up there with one of my favourites. Bit of a shame that only 587 people rated it here, but at least it's got must hear.
Thanks to @4Riot for the recommendation.
Wow, such a low score and for what? This was very good, and more people need to listen to it.
Thanks to @JennyStar for the recommendation :)
Though I feel that this record was not as enjoyable as Upgrade & Afterlife, I still believe that there are many elements to dissect from this record which make it enjoyable.
Once again, thanks to @ElementyFire for the recommendation.
Really good, and it throws a special take on some of the classic post-rock elements.
Thank you to @ElementyFire for the recommendation by the way.
A good audible painting of the true nature of humanity, and when I say good, I MEAN IT.
This is one of the greatest forms of music of all time, and I am glad to say I finally finished it. I started this on August 25th, so use that as your reference.
