If you ever find yourself confused towards Slauson Malone's album "A Quiet Farwell, 2016-2018" and why it feels like a series of interludes, odds and ends, and fractured ideas - that's because you're almost exactly right. Almost.

As my introduction to clipping, this was fucking fantastic from front to back. I saw the hour long length and got pretty skeptical, as hip hop albums tend to lose their momentum at such a length, but somehow throughout the tracklisting this thing maintained its consistency. Where as "iridescence" was ... read more

Bon Iver is one of my favorite musical projects. It appears that with each new release, layers upon layers continue to be added upon the traditional Bon Iver formula until it's a kaleidoscopic mishmash of auditory ideas, all fighting for control of each track.

"i,i", and each album before it, represents a beautiful culmination of everything that Bon Iver has done thus far. From the intimate and delicate debut "For Emma, Forever Ago", to the incredible sophomore release ... read more
