just an absolutely amazing album from start to finish. the raw vocals and instrumentals combine for this almost perfectly imperfect sound that I think is one of Big Thief's biggest strengths as a band.

not really sure how to rate this. The original album is one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time, but this just feels so pointless. why do we need a "clean" version of ToD? the lyrical and vocal changes just feel like a complete step in the wrong direction and I don't see why, of all albums in their discography, Teens of Denial would need re-recorded instrumentals. Worst album I've heard of his and it's still a great listen. This album has a completely unique sound among his discography as most, if not all, Elliott Smith albums usually do. While the album being mostly comprised of demos might hinder the quality and flow a slight bit, I think it creates a much more intimate feel to the music that might be lost if it were professionally recorded. This is no exaggeration no hyperbole maybe the worst album I have ever heard in my life.
To start with the bars, OH MY GOD these are some of the most trash, whiny, and corny bars I think I have ever heard on a hip-hop album.
