Post Malone - beerbongs & bentleys
43

Jabronies and boobies. What more could you want?

Frank Ocean - Blonde
100

One of the greatest R&B albums ever created. Frank genuinely doesn't miss his mark.

Saba - CARE FOR ME
95

This album cements Saba as probably the most slept on artist of our generation.

Solange - A Seat at the Table
94

A really incredible album from Solange. Full of personality and almost every song is a standout. Cranes in the Sky is easily one of the best singles of 2016.

Injury Reserve - Drive It Like It's Stolen
85

Solid EP that expands on the already established sound of Injury Reserve.

XXXTENTACION - 17
61

I hate that I like this album. Although it comes across as relatively insincere at several points on the album, the overall sound is compelling. Don't let that distract you from the fact that X is still a terrible person, tho.

Marc E. Bassy - Groovy People
78

Quality EP that somehow managed to be better than Marc's debut album.

BROCKHAMPTON - SATURATION II
85

Incredible album. An evolved sound from Saturation I, but often at the expense of cohesion between the artists. For example, FIGHT is the only song on this album that stands out when looking for combined flows. JUNKY in contention for the best rap song of the year.

"I always find it so backwards when artists try to use their own creative direction and people write it off as “pretentious”. You might not like it, but it’s not pretentious to do something different"

On MySoftBulletin's review of J. Cole - KOD
"This is coming from someone who thinks To Pimp A Butterfly is tied for the greatest rap album with Low End Theory- you are incredibly ignorant if you for some reason think Kendrick has a monopoly over conceptual albums. If you’re going to have a conceptual album, chances are the intro track will introduce the topic. I really did not like 4 Your Eyez Only, and yet I can see how much of an improvement this album is for Cole. "
On MySoftBulletin's review of J. Cole - KOD
"This album literally sounds nothing like DAMN. Almost everything here is set to a boom bap and he sounds nothing like Kendrick. Is DAMN. the better album? Absolutely. However, saying its the "autistic brother" of DAMN. is really just poor criticism used by those who perpetuate the circle jerk of hating J. Cole."
