It's unironically a great noise album.
ABSOLUTE FAVORITE TRACK: Tokyo Times Ten
FAVOURITE TRACKS: Woodpecker No. 1, Ultra Marine Blues, Yellow Hyper Balls
WORST TRACK: Woodpecker No. 2
Awe inspiring narration.
Elizabeth A. Carver is a member of one of my favourite bands, Shearling. And, much akin to Alex Kent's project Big Brown Cow, she indulges into complex folk narratives and accompaniments in this album. The substantial difference is that the instrumentation here is more articulate than what Big Brown Cow proposes, given that it's simply Alex with his guitar.
The storytelling is just as proficient as the stories in the related projects talked about above, and ... read more
My proper debut album! Where I sing about stuff. And about Judy.
Really happy with myself for making this, and I thank all the amazing people that followed me through the making of this. :]
This is basically a lost album from me. You can't find it anywhere, nor will it EVER BE available anywhere.
Sorry!
Music for people with schizophrenia. (jkjk)
I've had the pleasure of seeing Yoshida Tatsuya play live with RuinsZu recently. And it was an... experience, to say the least. Even took a photo with those guys!
Ruins is a progressive rock project that sounds like it's high on mushrooms most of the time. And boy, can you hear it on here. There are some extremely hilarious yet catchy moments here on this album.
Take for instance Skhanddraviza. When he said "wenyumuuuurrrr", I ... read more
The lyrics on here are immaculate. All the recalls to the Greek mythology on here (one moment that stood out to me lyrically was on Hades), and the vocabulary he uses to portray such lyrics is something that most folks definitely might not get at a first sight (and I'm one of those).
That being said, the turnoff that I had with this album is that I feel like it's a bit too dragging. I kind of wish that it was not as drumless as it is. You can really feel that, on certain tracks, the ... read more
This... This is my punk rock.

FAVOURITE TRACKS: Girl with Basket of Fruit, It Comes out as a Joke, Amargi ve Moo, Pumpkin Attack on Mommy and Daddy, The Wrong Thing, Mary Turner Mary Turner, Scissssssssors.
WORST TRACK: Ice Cream Truck.
I'm so sick about the fact that this is praised as their best album, and that it's the most well-known one. All these songs, compared to their later discography, are utterly weak.
"oh BuT yoU Can'T sAy thAt! oh bUt thErE's EVeN FLoW!" I don't care. Pearl Jam made albums later that are SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than this. This is the epitome of "overrated".

FAVOURITE TRACK: Pink, Woman on the Screen, Blackout, Pseudo-Bread, Afterburner, My Machine, Just Abandoned Myself
WORST TRACK: Farewell (I'M SORRY, I CAN'T GET MYSELF TO LIKE IT! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME)
On this day, 2nd of December 2025, The Seer officially dethroned To Be Kind from the title of being Swans' perfectly rated album by me.
After finally listening to the trilogy in its entirety again I can confidently say that this one is the best. The songs here have more replay value, and the repetitions that happen here (especially on The Apostate and Mother of the World) are more pleasant than the ones of To Be Kind. The point that this record loses is in being less rocky than To Be Kind ... read more
ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE TRACK: Mother/Father
FAVORITE TRACKS: She Lives!, Mind/Body/Light/Sound, My Buried Child, Alcohol The Seed, Killing for Company, Mother's Milk, Where Does a Body End?, Out
WORST TRACK: Warm
A harrowingly slow, but pleasurable sonic experience altogether. The record offers beautifully played songs that, at least to my ears, blend post-rock with something that would've been originally written by John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra. The primary example of this being the track "Engine of Ruin", whose melody reminds me a lot of the track "You Know, You Know". Not to mention the way the guitars sound on this record! Oh my word, they're ... read more
Well, I'm utterly obsessed with drone music, so of course this is my new favourite Melvins album...
Lysol is the fourth album by the Melvins. It went through legal hardship after the band was threatened by the registered trademark of the same name, so they had to rename it to "Melvins" by applying a piece of black tape on the already manufactured and distributed first round of pressings. Later pressings of this album omitted the title completely. Therefore, you may find this in ... read more
