In lieu of making a new album that would be a direct sequel to her last, Julia Holter decides to embrace the entirety of her past work to create something entirely new that calls for an undeniable blend of masterful tracks that work so well together, that it ends up being her most diverse and simultaneously intriguing release thus far in her career.
This is still sanitary corporate pop music just slightly improved. It’s like saying this dickhead is a little less dicky than that dickhead. Chill TF out guys.
Production is better than ever before however the group dynamic is somewhat lacking unfortunately.
