Freddie Gibbs - $oul $old $eparately

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Bandana

ONE GREAT SONG DOES NOT MAKE THIS ALBUM ABOVE A 50 BE FUCKING FR

Big Baller B - genre : bradboy
NR

i cant rate this album on its own merrits because any humour in it is gone now. someone whos content i found so much comfort in at one point. more than anything im dissapointed. lets give a collective "fuck you" to Brad

J. Cole - 2014 Forest Hills Drive
85

in suprised this doesnt have the must listen status. listen im not gonna deny its great but its still really overrated and nowhere NEAR a 10/10. J cole manages to make an album that feels super safe and comforting, but as such also makes something so basic and breaking absolutely no ground that its insane to me that SOME people put it above albums like IYRTITL, TPAB, GKMC, take care or even 4YEO and friday night lights.

J. Cole - Born Sinner
70

much better than his last record, but not as good as the warm up or friday night lights. Kinda overrated by cole fans

J. Cole - Cole World: The Sideline Story
48

i've seen people call this album underrated. went back to give it another chance but no matter how much i listen this shit is still a snoozefest. without a doubt coles worst album. even KOD and MDL have some really good highlights and the only real highlight is the title track

J. Cole - The Warm Up
93

the jump in quality from the come up to the warm up is insane...

Cole drops some of his best performances and spits over some self produced tracks, as well as some existing classics. i've been singing this mixtapes praises for years, saying its not that far off in quality from FNL and imo is better than 2014 FHD. dead presidents 2 is still one of my favourite performances of his

J. Cole - The Come Up Mixtape Vol. 1
70

i mean its fine, its just super forgettabke

The Weeknd - Dawn FM
84

The 80s throwback sound is done so well man

Much of Abels own fans seem to not love this album (due to most of them being trilogy-kissland glazers and dont like when Abel ventures outside of that sound) with others who arent as hardcore fans viewing this as one of/his best work. while i dont think THAT, i love this album. some of thr catchiest dance songs since the 2000's land on here (take my breath, Gasoline, how do i make you love me AND OUT OF TIME UGHHHH). Abels vocals are angelic as ... read more

Drake - Care Package

prerty mid BUT the timestamp songs on here are both top 5 drake

Jay-Z & Linkin Park - Collision Course
NR

really interesting in hindsight

JAY-Z - The Blueprint 3
56

stop. doing. sequels.

JAY-Z - The Blueprint
98

multiple of the best hip hop songs of all time land on here. Heart of the city, Takeover, renegade, song cry, Izzo (H.o.v.a), the rulers back and U dont know are ALL classic tracks and this album is still skipless

JAY-Z - Vol. 3... Life and Times of S. Carter
70

better than vol 2... still not anything special

JAY-Z - Kingdom Come
40

imo, the only real stain on Hov's otherwise flawless solo discography

JAY-Z - In My Lifetime, Vol. 1
80

Apart from the track with puff... this album is underrated as fuck

"Considering you liked flashout freestyle, give stunt 4 life by ezcodylee a shot. Given he already features on the original half blood you might fw it. It blends rage and punk rock perfectly in my opinion, and doesnt feel like the fake "punk" personas that carti or che have done in recent years"

"@StarLightBBX as someone who isnt a drake fan, idk why he hates in drake so strongly. I dont believe he's ever gone into any reasons he just pokes fun at him all the time. Granted its funny, but he's doint the same thing people dislike drake for. Repetitive whining"
On 𝓶𝓪𝓽𝓽𝓮𝓪's review of ezcodylee - STUNT 4 LIFE
"@dingalingaling i got it as soon as he started using the word "punk" the way he did. Being punk is being unapologetic about your politics and your opinions and che expresses absolutely none of that. Apart from the abrasive sound, there's no essense of 'punk' in anything that che does, especially in comparison to ezcodylee who has punk DNA embedded into each bit of the music"

"@redsnapper2 not at all, just because they employ distortion doesnt mean it distorts everything else, its a very clearly controlled chaos with death grips. With 2slimey it clearly trumps everything else in the instrumental and even the vocals."
On #1 MIDWXST DICKRIDER 🍆💦's review of 2slimey - times changin
"@ramonapark01 absolutely not lmao. Death grips isnt an assault on the ears with distorted 808s cranked to the max with trash lyrics and no variety in the delivery."

"@ramonapark01 death grips actually have talent. they actually pushed the envelope for the time and have substance to their writing. what does 2slimey bring to the table? I dont really hate 2slimey but death grips make coherent music, 2slimey doesnt."

On musicrater9's review of Bad Bunny - Super Bowl LX Halftime Show
"@felix_valkyria that history has no baring on the fact ice, especially as it stands right now, is a dangerous and tyrannical institution. it is wild to dismiss that fact due to the reason it exists because as it stands, innocent people are dying and its not just the sex traffickers and drug traffickers because the government that are so involved in funding ice, have also been covering up the biggest sex trafficking ring in human history. you're missing the point beyond belief. I wont deny that traffickers and other awful people have been persecuted at the hands of ICE, but as it currently stands, the way that institution is being handled as we speak is dangerous and it needs either drastically reformed, or abolished."

"i didnt interpret it as a conversion bar, just one about fucking a bi girl, but yeah it doesnt make it any less cringe to hear him sing about. it always annoys the fuck out of me whenever someone does it as a massive Abel fan."
On PlasticTrees's review of Che - REST IN BASS: ENCORE
"@th3o you dont need video proof to believe carti beat his gf retard. Do you think thats the only valid form of proof for someone to believe someone did something? Do you think EVERYTHING is recorded or else it didnt happen? The closest we have is the footage of the interrogation and direct aftermath of him 'alledgedly' beating that pregnant woman. If you do your research you will find plenty good reasons that people believe that he did that."
On jackolson45's review of Nas - Magic 3
"As someone who likes this album a good bit more than most, magic 2 and 3 are so much less focused than magic 1. I think its because magic 2 and 3 were a lil more rushed and looser in concept as magic 1 was made in anticipation for KD3, but did something with more of an old school feel to set it apart. Magic 2 and 3 arent being made in anticipation of anything and just instead feel like throwaways from nas and hits other sessions"

On nino888's review of OsamaSon - Flex Musix
"@ChemicalRr not particularly, it can be in a lot of cases but aesthetic can be correctly used in many different ways kinda used interchangeably with vibe in a musical context but the visual aspect is often used to strengthen the aesthetic in other areas. Again to use an example, opiums visual aesthetic is used in tandom with the aesthetic they use in their music"
