This will probably be my album of the year for 2026. On one hand, the production and songwriting is incredible. Super catchy hyperpop hooks infused with EDM influences make for an incredibly engaging project. April does not shy away of giving her songs compositional depth either. The lyrics haven't aged one bit in 2026. They're perhaps even more applicable, so it's nice to hear some justified rage expressed through this album. I appreciate being able to hear everyone in the mix, and the band plays very well together. The balance between groove and blastbeats is on the money, and the songs refuse to sit still.
A special shoutout to "Praise the Lord (Opium of the Masses)" because the intro is stuck in my head all the time.
I really really enjoyed this! I know an album is good when I reach for it repeatedly to just "throw on."
This is easily on track to be my favorite metal record of the year.
