Personally a fan of the singing. The songwriting is good indie rock, it does tend to run into itself a little bit but doesn't get boring like I've heard other albums become. Feel the Pain and Get Out of This are bangers.
Insanely innovative and a great live act, Squid's debut album is an absolute masterwork. Using so many techniques and textures, it would seem that they would have a hard time letting everything breathe. But Ollie Judge and co. pull it off in spectacular fashion. Combining synths and horns fantastically on Boy Racers with Judge's manic vocals to cap it off, it's only a taste of the energy that Squid bring. Highlights on the album for me are GSK, Peel St., and Pamphlets
THIS is the hardcore record we've been waiting for. Absolutely wipes the floor with Glow On.
