"WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA" features an extremely consistent collection of aggressive and nocturnal tracks full of confident and boastful delivery, carrying exceptional energy throughout the tracklist, showcasing Slayyyter's immense versatility with a diverse range of sounds.
“Tomorrow’s Harvest," presents a much more cinematic approach to the band's classic sound, with distinctive and suspenseful song structures and a grandiose, somber tone. The record returns to a colder, more ominous sound than their previous release, "The Campfire Headphase," while retaining many of the hypnotic and psychedelic elements utilized in its soundscape.
"Geogaddi" evokes a mysterious and psychedelic ambiance, with mesmerizing melodies and ominous undertones, that alternate between beat-driven and free-flowing compositions. The record's cryptic nature leaves much of the concept open to interpretation, but what is readily apparent is the gloomy and eerie mood produced by its excellent use of texture and vocal sampling.
"Census Designated," marks a notable departure from Jane's usual hyperpop-adjacent sound, instead building and twisting the secondary rock elements explored in their previous album to produce a shoegaze-inspired sound with post-rock-influenced song structures, resulting in a highly distinctive blend of ear-candy melodies and suspenseful noisy builds. Jane's writing has grown exponentially, covering themes of self-hatred and alienation with remarkable vulnerability.
