What a great listen. Just fantastic instrumentation. Not given soundtracks a go before this and I may have to listen to more. Might need to watch the show as well.
very pleasant half an hour of music. The production, vocals and lyrism are great
I don’t get how some people thinks it’s heavily overrated. My god it’s a masterpiece
While there are a small few good tracks, most were from revolver. Only notable song is hey bulldog which is a banger. Others are just whatever. I will be watching the movie at some point though because it's a soundtrack not really an album.
The stories on this album were really enjoyable even though I would not listen to a lot of these songs outside of the album. It's some good folk music. My personal favourites were Old soul song, Train Under Water, land locked blues, and Poison Oak. Some really cool, dark themes that hooked me in.
My word this album is shoegaze heaven. The melodies are incredible and along with the swervy, textured and reverby guitars, it gives you a wonderful 40 minutes that you want to experience again. Best songs are alison, machine gun, 40 days, title track, when the sun hits and dagger but the other songs are still great.
does sound better thsn WTSMG but still has some mixing and sound issues. Really like some of these songs such as Rock n roll star, supersonic, C&A, slide away... Some don't intrigue me as much especially shakermaker, up in the sky and digsy's dinner. But a good first album to a band and it turns out to be the bands best.
The difference between the first half and the second is amazingly done. Sound and vision are so catchy as well as be my wife which are my personal favorites. However, Warszawa and subterranean are up there as well with its beautiful sound throughout. Bowie couldn't even remember how this was made and it shows in the best way possible
A great Zeppelin album and one that I haven't given much notice to until now and I'm glad I did. While the middle section is a little weaker compared the start and end, it's still enjoyable with great guitar playing, Roberts vocals are great as well. My personal favourites are rain song, over the Hills and far away, and no quarter. Didn't care for the grunge at all though which brought it down a little.
