FAV TRACK: Deep Pockets
LEAST FAV: pretty much everything else...
Wow this was kind of hard to get through. First off, this album does have a good start in my opinion with Deep Pockets. It has good enough bars and a minimalistic beat, but I think Drake does a good job of flowing on this one. As for the rest of the album, it's just kinda boring and nothing I haven't heard before. It feels like Drake is piggybacking off of whatever has been trending in hip-hop/pop or on TikTok. You have tracks ... read more
Great production on this one, this is a good single that I hope leads to a great album.
FAV TRACKS: Vroom Vroom, Secrets (Shh), Trophy
LEAST FAV: Paradise
This is a great EP from Charli XCX that showed the beautiful music that was to come.
FAV TRACK: FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
LEAST FAV: MOO
Lately I have been really enjoying the genre of bubblegum bass with artists like Sophie, Dorian Electra, and Charli XCX. I thought I would give Cashmere Cat a try after seeing someone note that he was a bubblegum bass artist. I couldn't find much else to listen to so I thought I'd give this a try. First off the instrumentation isn't bad but nothing was really too crazy, it's kinda just there. I don't think the vocals are all that bad regardless of ... read more
I can't wait for this new quarantine album from Charli XCX especially with this new single.
FAV TRACK: AMAZING GRACE
LEAST FAV: CHAMPION, LIGHTSKIN ****, SAD ****, FIND MY WAY
I was pretty disappointed by this album from Charlotte rapper DaBaby. On this project DaBaby tries to switch it up by being more melodical and it just doesn't work. I don't think it's voice necessarily it's just the execution of his vocals is flawed especially with the song SAD **** , where DaBaby attempts to make a sad song and it just wasn't for me. The vocals are all over and doesn't compliment the beat at ... read more
FAV TRACK: Devil's Work
LEAST FAV: everything else...
This was not for me personally. To start, I am not a big fan of the album cover, I don't know what it's supposed to mean or represent and it just looks really unappealing. This album starts off with a skit depicting a Rorschach test given to Joyner as an 8 year old boy. I think it was a good set up, and I think the ADHD element could have played very well throughout the album but that's not what happened. Instead for the entirety of this ... read more
FAV TRACKS: Wish You Were Sober, Comfort Crowd, Heather, Maniac, Checkmate
LEAST FAV: Little League (If I had to pick)
This is a great album from California pop artist Conan Gray. First off I have to say, this is one of the most enjoyable and fun albums I have listened to of 2020 with some upbeat tempos during the first half of this album, but also managed to make me think and become more introspective on the second half. For me it was a perfect balance. Conan Gray in this album is able to ... read more
FAV TRACKS: Future Nostalgia, Cool, Boys Will Be Boys, Physical, Don't Start Now
LEAST FAV: Good In Bed
This is a great pop record from British singer Dua Lipa. This is one of the most entertaining and fun albums I have listened to this year (one of the others being The Kid Krow by Conan Gray another great pop record that I recently reviewed). I was first introduced to Dua Lipa like most through her breakout singer New Rules. I thought this track was catchy at the time, but that it also ... read more

LEAST FAV: 35.31
This is an overall solid album from actor, singer, comedian, and rapper Childish Gambino. Starting off this review, I am not the biggest fan of Gambino's entire discography. I think he makes some really great songs, but hasn't been able to make one piece of cohesive work that flows really well together. I think this is one of the flaws with this album. Childish Gambino is known for bringing experimental sounds to ... read more
FAV TRACKS: Alone Again, Too Late, Hardest To Love, Scared To Live, Escape From LA, Faith, Blinding Lights, In Your Eyes, After Hours, Until I Bleed Out
LEAST FAV: If I had to pick at all Repeat After Me (Interlude) but that track is still beautiful.
This is the latest album from Canadian rnb and synthpop artist, The Weeknd. Lately I have gone through The Weeknd's discography and listened to each album (except for Thursday, just never got around to it). So far my favorites from his ... read more
FAV TRACK: WHATS POPPIN
LEAST FAV: 2STYLISH, I WANNA SEE SOME ***, SMELLS LIKE INCENSE, ONCE MAY COMES
I want to start off by saying, I'm rooting for Jack Harlow, I really am. But this EP is not it. WHATS POPPIN was the lead single for this project and I think it did a great job of attracting mainstream listeners to his sound and aesthetic. When I found out he was dropping a project (I found out yesterday), I was kind of excited after listening to Confetti which I thought was a decent and fun ... read more
FAV TRACKS: After Party, Can't Feel My Legs, Candy
LEAST FAV: Wasted
This is the debut album from Cactus Jack member, Don Toliver, and I'm honestly a little disappointed. On his 2018 mixtape, Donny Womack, Don showed great potential to pull together a great album. The downside of the album was some inconsistent vocal performances in my opinion, coupled with some sub par production. I can confidently say that the problems that were a part of Donny Womack have been improved on this album, Heaven ... read more
FAV TRACKS: Need Your Love, How to Forgive, Runner, Tender As A Tomb
LEAST FAV: Echoes
This is a amazing indie pop album from married duo Tennis. This is easily one of the most beautiful but relaxed albums I have ever listened to, and I really appreciated the length of it as well. It wasn't too long but it wasn't too short, and each song is given it's moment to shine. There are some really pretty instrumentals and light vocals on this thing that work beautifully together. The highlights on ... read more
FAV TRACKS: Rex (Intro), Belly (The Grass Stains)
LEAST FAV: Curfew
I think Pony was a big step up from this project. This honestly feels a bunch of half baked songs, nothing really felt complete. There are some good melodies and vocal performances from Rex but the production and songwriting is something left to be desired.
FAV TRACKS: Morning Shift and Birds And The Bees
LEAST FAV: Git Up
Honestly this isn't a bad project from Dreamville member Lute. There are some decent tracks on here that feature some typical boom bap production. What surprised me was Lute's singing on the hooks on this thing which reminded me of what YBN Cordae did on his debut The Lost Boy. Lute clearly draws inspiration from soul and gospel music with the instrumentation and even some of the vocal inflections on here. His lyrics are pretty ... read more
FAV TRACKS: Party For Me - West Coast Remix, Happiness Over Everything (H.O.E.), Summer 2020 Interlude, Speak, Tryna Smoke, One Way Street
LEAST FAV: Born Tired
As a Jhene fan, I was a little disappointed by this album. The cuts on here aren't as atmospheric as Trip for example and aren't as focused as the tracks on Sail Out. But there are some great vocal performances, and decent beats. I can tell Jhene has gone through a lot since the release of her last album, and does a good job of ... read more
FAV TRACK: Captain Hook
LEAST FAV: What I Need
The singing tracks on here were not for me and even the bangers at the beginning felt a little unfinished and underwhelming in my opinion compared to Fever. Overall it's not a very good project but I did like the shorter length.
