Probably one of the earliest examples of post grunge. I've recently had the song comedown stuck in my head for a couple weeks now so I figured I might as well check out the album.
Bush definitely wears there influences on their sleeves but it's still solid alt rock nonetheless. This album suffers a bit from the singles being the best songs but the deeper cuts are far from bad just samey with the writing. The highlights slap so fucking hard though.

Goated GRUNGE album, definitely a staple. This album has some fucking attitude man. Literally opening song begins with Scott yelling about a rose.
Highlights: Dead & Bloated, Sex Type Thing, Wicked garden, Sin, Naked Sunday, Creep, Plush, Piece of Pie, Crackerman
I had no idea who death cab was yesterday. Now I do
This album is an amazing blend of Midwest emo with the harder elements of indie and alt rock. Beautiful sounds and vocal performances.
Highly recommend, and I will be checking out this bands other albums (let me know what to listen to next!)
Favorite tracks: All except for Passenger seat
Fantastic, such lush instrumentals and reverb filled rooms of noise.
Album seemed to dip into darker sounds as the record continued, worked very well for overall flow.
Will post final score and review when i finish the album.
So far though:
Disc 1=79/100
lmao this shit is just insane. Don't even know what I would rate it. would recommend for someone trying to listen to some crazy shit.
My genuine introduction into hyperpop. I really liked the mix of punk on the record. It complements the poppy and electronic sounds perfectly. Even the worst songs on this album sound good. Such a fun listen.
Fav tracks: Dumbest Girl Alive, Hollywood Baby, Doritos & Fritos, Billy Knows Jamie, I Got My Tooth Removed, mememe
Least Fav tracks: One Million Dollars (still has elements I like)
ill write an actual review of this in a bit. This album was a major factor in forming my music taste and just getting me into music in general
EDIT: concept is actually not that bad, the problems I still have with the album are still present.
Really lackluster, not super funny, a couple decent songs but really a bunch of forgettable bars.
Dark, hard hitting. The best songs on this thing are some of Kendrick’s best. Consistent sound throughout and just a quality record. Continues the no miss streak for Kendrick
Fav tracks: DNA, FEEL, PRIDE, HUMBLE, LUST, LOVE, FEAR, DUCKWORTH
least fav: GOD
Pretty much enema of the state but slightly upgraded. A little bit catchier, riffs are better, a tad less goofy but still has the same sense of humor (happy holidays)
Fav tracks: Anthem part two, first date, The Rock Show, stay together for the kids, reckless abandon, every time I look for you, shut up
Least fav: happy holidays you bastard, honestly every song on this thing is at least alright. Nothing really offensive
just did an old punk review so decided to mix some pop punk into the mix. Yeah this album is pretty good, was an album I used to bump hella in like 9th grade but obviously i've grown since then lmao. Most of the songs here still hold up, the worst part of this album is some deeper cuts just not really impressing me much and just sounding like a copy and paste of the better tracks. What this album does best at though is just how good the production on the guitars are. Literally every guitar ... read more
relentlessly fun, degenerate, simple, amazing vocal performances, never a down moment with this album. This is what punk music embodies, fucking amazing.
Fav tracks: Static age, tv casualty, some kinda hate, last caress, hybrid moments, we are 138, teenagers from mars, angelfuck, attitude, she
least fav: come back, theme for a jackal, spinal remains. not that these are bad songs just a bit forgettable with how the rest of the album is.
Bro fuck aoty for being so broken on phone, actually deleted my review twice.
Fav tracks: paranoia, cocoa butter kisses, juice, and like give or take 5 other songs
Least fav: probably chain smoker but it’s still a chill song
Bloated but a pretty consistent sound. Very dark and experimental like. Couple of songs could have been cut though. The first couple of tracks are the best and the album struggles to reach that high again but still leaves you pretty satisfied with the material given.
Fav tracks: hyaena, thank god, modern jam, my eyes, topia twins, circus Maximus, telekinesis, till further notice
Least fav: k-pop, gods country. A couple more forgettable tracks but not bad.
I don’t listen to weezer as much as I used to. Probably one of my favorite bands growing up and pretty much the catalyst that got me into music. I originally would have given this album like a 95 when I first heard it back when it came out but it’s shrunk a little since then. I still think this is weezers best album in years. The instrumental is so good all throughout the record. There’s weaker songs but I don’t there’s a bad song. The worst part about this album ... read more
Billy Joel in his prime. Such a good album. The songwriting skill showcased here is insane. Highly recommend
Fav tracks: movin out, scenes from an Italian restaurant, Vienna, only the good die young, she’s always a woman, get it right the first time
Least fav: everybody has a dream
