Dry Cleaning - Secret Love
62

It took me a while to get used to Dry Cleaning’s sound throughout a few years & I just can’t see how soft sounding vocals & production can go through an entire project, it’s like how!?

But, I still give this new one a shot & honestly it’s not bad. I think the vocals gotten approved a bit & I can hear some traction here & the songwriting is pretty deep as well. But, there are a few of them that have the same problems as their previous ones, which ... read more

Green Day - Saviors
76

This album was the savior for the band after the disaster of Father Of All… & it’s the guys going back to a really good format.

French Montana - Coke Wave 3.5: Narcos
44

I mean it’s an album made from Montana & obviously this is what you get. But I will say, Max B has some nice bars in the mix.

Zach Bryan - With Heaven On Top
64

This album was bloated with a lot of hit & miss tracks.

The songwriting has its moments when it comes to Bryan being emotional with his problems of addiction, grieving from a loss & the bad times right now, but there’s others that he can go off track, especially his delivery here, where some of it is actually weak. Also I’m gotta say this, the instrumentals here well I like how the guitars are mixed well, but the only thing I’m kinda ticked about is the harmonica, ... read more

The Kid LAROI - BEFORE I FORGET
70

Personally in the past, I’ve never been a fan of Laroi’s projects outside of a few tracks, but this one might be his best so far. This one sounds a lot better vocally, which was the main problem I had going through his stuff. Also, the instrumentals are subtle & more soft rock based.

I think the album has got some of his emotion feel here, especially after the break up with her ex Tate McRae. A bunch of these songs were personal & well written for a heartbreak project. ... read more

Michael Jackson - Thriller
100

I can see why this is one of the classic albums of all time. It’s full of great instrumentals, nice vocals & stylish dance moves from the man himself. I mean we got the king of pop, why not we have the album of pop you know what I mean?

JPEGMAFIA - LP!
93

JPEGMAFIA took a lot of time to get into when I first heard of him, but after a while I gotten used to Peggy & experimental rap in general.

As for this album, it’s pretty solid & quite well-constructed. BTW, this was the album that helped me to become more into the guy & enjoying his work as of now. It was also pretty solid from start to finish when I heard it for the first time.

So yeah, quite a notch for me & this album as well and I can’t wait to see what he ... read more

Frank Ocean - Blonde
86

This might goes down as one of the most emotional albums I’ve heard. It also shows a lot of Frank Ocean at his toughest here.

Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience
53

Don’t get me wrong, I like JT’s lyrical contents, vocal melodies & instrumentals on tracks here & there, but not all of them should be that long. Because it gets boring & filler as time goes on.

Future & Lil Uzi Vert - Pluto x Baby Pluto
49

This collab from these two were just as I expected. At first, I thought this might be somewhat bad, and to come my surprise, well it’s not good but it’s not bad either. I think their flows are harmless & the beats are pretty clean, but the flops I have for it are their lyrical content can be a bit sloppy & isn’t quite special, which is nothing wrong with that.

So, coming from these guys isn’t their worst work, but it’s not close to their best.

Playboi Carti - Whole Lotta Red
51

I know that Carti is trying to be more experimental with trap rap, but I think he went overboard with this type of course because it just sounds irrupted & a bit water down compare to his previous projects. Also, his squeal voice does annoys me from time to time, I mean I have nothing wrong with it, but it just kinda sounds weird & a bit staticky for my taste.

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR
96

This is definitely Tyler’s best efforts & the most heartbreaking stuff I’ve ever heard.

Daft Punk - Discovery
97

One of the best dance house albums of all time!

Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs
88

This is probably one of the most experimental things I’ve heard in hip hop. The whole thing really shows Earl’s talent & characteristics where he raps pretty unique in these abstract instrumentals, which sounds good for the most part. Although I’m not fully into a few tracks here based on the off putting flows & beat, but it’s still worth checking out based on the craft he put into. It’s really good stuff!

Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert
99

Between this & Grey Area, I just can’t decide which one is her best. Maybe it’s a tie.

Lil Tecca - DOPAMINE
58

This probably might be the best thing I’ve heard from Tecca. I think his flows have gotten a bit precise & it sounds kinda unique. But, outside of that, his style & voice is still not the strongest to me, it’s either the instrumentals being scattered all over the place or his off track vocals that sounds a bit overboard with the autotune.

So yeah, I think this is an improvement comparing to his previous projects since We Love You Tecca, but I’m only calling it just ... read more

Lil Wayne - Tha Carter VI
30

Sigh, what a disaster. I was anticipated for a new Tha Carter album since this is where Wayne actually gets creative & persuasive. But unfortunately, this one right here is pretty much another project from Wayne in the 2020s where he has no effort nor charm, tracklist that drags on longer than it needs to be & some ideas that sounds like they just came out of his a$$.

Also, this has a massive hit on A.I., which is a major red flag. It just feels like Wayne is using a cheat sheet to ... read more

Little Simz - Lotus
88

This album has a lot more soul & jazz fusion, which really works for her. Also, her flows are still pretty consistent for the most part.

I will say this, even though this is not her best work, I’ll still give her props for making something that doesn’t feel corny or overproduced at its slightest.

McKinley Dixon - Magic, Alive!
97

Well this one was a lot to handle, mostly because the topics on this project is pretty emotional & powerful, which I’m surprised artists like McKinley can do here. The premise of losing a friend, then try to bring them back to life, finding the meaning of an everyday life & the power of art & music as a whole. The majority feels very important & kinda a tough one to go through. Also, his flows are pretty strong & on point to the whole album.

Honestly though, this was ... read more

Addison Rae - Addison
40

You know I try with this, but I just can’t. Now I wasn’t a fan of her EP that came out 2 years ago & most of the singles I’ve heard for months weren’t that satisfying either (except Headphones On).

Now going into this album, I was hoping for something different than just basic & well there are a few parts that got better based on production wise, songwriting gotten slightly improved & I guess Addison sounds more competent as a singer. But, unfortunately most ... read more

"While his flows are good, some aren’t quite great & although his lyricism is good, there just underwhelming to me, that’s all."
