Chief Keef - Almighty So

worst shit i've ever heard (it's awesome)

but seriously what the fuck is this

Clams Casino - I'm God

If you don't like this song then fuck you honestly

A$AP Rocky - LIVE.LOVE.A$AP [Reissue]
90

As I listen to this specific version more and more, the more fantastic it becomes. It's catchy, Rocky sounds cool as fuck, and the deep, hazy production is incredible. (Leaf in particular has become a new favorite) Not many albums I've heard carry a vibe in the same way as this.

A Sunny Day in Glasgow - Ashes Grammar

Indulgent? Yes. Good? Yes.

Matt Champion - Mika's Laundry

Really cool and eclectic vibe! I love genre-blending stuff and this is a good example of that. However, I just wish the songs weren't so short and fragmented. It leaves the album feeling underdeveloped, but when it shines, it shines. Purify, Slow Motion, Aphid, and Code Red are probably my favorites. Oh and as for his voice, it's solid. I liked his singing in Brockhampton, but here he goes wilder with it by contorting his vocals in some strange ways. It's not always something I love, but most ... read more

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
85

I already loved the previously released Scrapyard EP series, but hearing them arranged into a new project with new material creates something special. It's inherently less cohesive than I Didn't Mean to Haunt You, but that's not a bad thing. Here, Quadeca weaves together a tapestry of sounds and genres, making it nearly impossible to categorize. I mean, you can see how many genres are listed on this site, right? Everything from experimental indie, hip-hop, RnB, and folk are explored to great ... read more

Kanye West - Runaway
NR

Hey everyone, I just released a video where I rank the top 100 singles of the 2010s according to Rate Your Music! I know this isn't RYM, but the video isn't doing the best so I wanted to share it with people that might enjoy it.

Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYF_RCAuv0o

The video was pretty fun to do. There were a lot of enjoyable discoveries on the list for me, and many of the songs had their own unique appeal. Unfortunately there were some setbacks with recording and ... read more

I wish I was as cool as this song

Sufjan Stevens - Javelin
90

I haven't heard that much Sufjan Stevens, but when I do, I walk away impressed. This was no different. It's amazing to me how he can make music that is so sad, but have it be very sweet and beautiful at the same time.

Stone Temple Pilots - Big Empty

Spongebob ass guitar riff

blink-182 - ONE MORE TIME...
50

blink-182 in the studio:
"yeah these verses and bridges sound pretty good... now let's add the weakest chorus possible"

Their previous album NINE, is my least favorite album of all time (as of now). So I wasn't expecting much here, but I also knew they couldn't go any lower. ONE MORE TIME... isn't bad, but it's still very lacking when it comes to pop-punk and the band's prior material. After watching their interview with Zane Lowe, I could tell they cared. I feel like this album has ... read more

Neon Indian - VEGA INTL. Night School
85

The grooves on this album are insane. It's so fun and vibrant, all while flowing seamlessly. It can fall into the background at times, but when it's on... it's ON. Definitely check it out if you want something funky.

Tinashe - BB/ANG3L

A short and sweet RnB album. Nothing here really blows my mind, but it's very enjoyable. I really love the UK garage elements.

Sweet Trip - You Will Never Know Why

The album is good... but Milk is a masterpiece.

Carly Rae Jepsen - The Loveliest Time

Carly you can't just put the word "psychedelic" in the song title and have it be my favorite on the album

"@BlueNinty one armed scissor is defo the catchiest track, but a lot of the other songs aren't too hook focused from what i remember. but im also not a big fan of that album anyway."

On ReeseyPuffy's review of JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown - SCARING THE HOES
"Wack take, but I can understand where your coming from. It's not a project everyone will like, as it is titled "Scaring the Hoes" after all. People online like it cuz they listen to bullshit music and get no bitches (oh hey that's me!) Scaring the Hoes is one of my favorite projects I've heard this year. The beats are so creative and go hard as hell, and I love Peggy and Danny's performances. It might be my fav from either artist, but Veteran by JPEG is a close second. You might find All My Heroes are Cornballs interesting. It's a jarring, experimental experience with some interesting melodic parts sprinkled in. Veteran is fire too, wild beats paired with blunt lyrics. Some of my favorite JPEG songs are on that album."

"@Bobby I find MPP to be more genuinely psychedelic, with good pop sensibility to boot. It's more produced sure, but it still has a weird edge. I hear a lot of people say Strawberry Jam has pop sensibility, but it was the opposite for me. To my ears, there wasn't a lick of catchiness that I could latch onto. Perhaps one day I'll get it..."

On The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin
"@Macks I know I missed that one, but I kept putting it off since it seemed like a patient listen. Considering that I'm working on another album of the year video, I don't wanna force a listen and not give it the time of day. I'll listen to it one day, but not soon. That sounds dumb but that's my thinking."
