Easily album of the year so far in my opinion. I'm probably gonna update this after a few more listens but in short, Boards delivered peak once again with one of their most immersive and otherworldly projects which also actually feels like it was worth the 13 year wait - a rarity these days. Nice Shibuya-kei album. Whilst not blowing me away in any aspects, all of it was solid and definitely worth a listen. Not the biggest fan of the cover though, it kinda creeps me out.

The first half is peak Ween - some songs even rival the best stuff on Quebec. You get bangers like "Freedom of '76" which for Gene's vocal performance alone is absolute greatness and more emotional tracks like "Baby Bitch" which has some of the best writing the band has to offer. This was lining up to be another absolute slapper but after the previously mentioned "Baby Bitch", it slightly falls off. I don't mind the more "brown" tracks ... read more
