Uboa created an album that is jam packed with frustration and anger. And how she achieves this sound is the best thing about the album. With screaming vocals and harsh instrumentals that really just make this album a unique experience. The instrumentals are often paired with these kinda glass touching and human moments but then the harsh music takes control again and i really love that. Favs: lay down and rot and please don’t leave me.
Am finally starting to write reviews again (Am running behind thats probably the reason). So I want to start by reviewing frailty by Jane Remover. Frailty is very different from revengeseekerz. The main difference I noticed was the vocals. The vocals are probably the reason i am not rating this project any higher in some songs it feels like its very timid when the instrumentals are going fucking crazy. Like any jane remover project the beats are the best part. Songs like: movies for guys and ... read more
My second album from death grips after the money store. Bottomless Pit is crazier, more energetic and louder than any of their music I have listened to. There are stand alone tracks that are fucking crazy like the title track bottomless pit, spikes, bb poison… They're probably my fav songs by them for sure. Very likeable and just a great album.
My introduction to panchiko and quite a pleasant one. The normal tracks are fine but the best parts of the album are definitely the R>O>T. The fuzz and broken up instrumentals make for a great experience that in my opinion is better than the revamped version. Of course there are some exclusions like the title track where I prefer the normal version. Wow i just saw the reviews on aoty and the rot versions are getting trashed on girl what…
I want to start off by saying that Fiona is probably my favorite artist as of right now. This album just proves that fact. I heard people talking that she really doesn't fit any genre and after some thought i agree. Even though she hasn't changed her sound a lot, every album is interesting to me. When the pawn… is just such a replayable piece of music for me every song just glides with my day to day life. And i want to add that this is not my fav fiona album. That says a lot i ... read more
my first black midi album if we exclude "the new sound". And well I expected it too be great and it is. I will admit I don't really replay a lot of the songs only maybe "Sugar/Tzu". I genuinely don't know how they make this shit tbh especially that fast guitar riffs. one way to describe it is chaotic but somewhat peaceful
This album has like this weird aura to it. Bcnr debut is weird and fulfilling . They never miss do they likeee
am making kinda of a rushed review but if my opinion changes i will re write and re review the album. other then that i think its an enjoyable listen if you want something short and fun buttt i kinda expected more because of the stacked collabs especially the jane remover ft.
Listening to this album to me is a privilege. I have never been so calmed and relaxed by an album in my life. I felt sane human and just so in touch with everything around me i dont care if that sounds cringe cuz re listening to the songs just proved my point. And her goddamn voice fuck me especially on dawn in the aden There were tears on my face because of that guitar on the song. This is not a normal album this is special in every way.
Its been like a month since ive listend to this album and all i can say is that bcnr has the chance to become one of my favorite kinda new bands. Of course am sad that isaac wood left because his voice really was that main thing on ants From up their but i think there was a positive shift on this album an opportunity to experiment and try new sounds and i love that they did it while still having there signature bcnr sound.
Great i dont really have anything to say its good but not what i wanted it to be. The title track though thats the shit likee
She really did her big one on this the vocals the guitar work. And i found out while listening that i had heard like half of the album on tiktok i think everyone did. Now I have to check out bright future and the big thief albums
After almost a month (one day short) am back on aoty i listened to albums while i was gone so first is my first brian eno album and i enjoyed it. Great ambient songs especially the intro song and the closer but the songs in between am not so crazy about. The "vocals" on those songs really annoyed me tbh. It really is an ambient album like the title suggests am shading aphex twins like
My second jpegmafia album and well not as good as scaring the hoes still filled with bangers. Not a lot of rap albums have this kind of muddy production and weirdness to them which of course i appreciate. I will say some songs are skips so thats why the score isnt higher but very pleased
so calming and gentle especially the opener and the closer. love this jazz albummmm
such a weird combination of sounds. instrumentally just so different and ahead if its time. rip
incredible album. this is my first album from sufjan stevens and what a good start. the first song probably is my fav so calm but so chilling his voice is just amazing. am really interested in him so I will def check out some other albums by him
