At first I thought the album's name was supposed to be an insult to Bertrand Russell. I was really hoping to hear lyrics like "all my homies hate logical atomism" or "Bertie just opened his mouth, someone go hand him a Nobel right now"

I heard about this album way before actually listening to it. I'd even say that I knew some of its fragments before the whole.

Hip-hop is in a pretty wild state these days. While still being the most popular genre among worldwide listeners, the lack of a new rap album to top the Billboard for the first six months of 2023 clearly says something about how things are unfolding. Of course it doesn't mean that we are witnessing a music genre's death, but it might translate some stylistic stagnation, and with that goes a fatigue from the audience.
