consequence of sound obviously did not understand the consequences that the sounds of this album would have in shaping the rap scene
there was absolutely no need for to have that many ballads in this album. but the non-ballad songs were crazy fun.
First first listen in over two weeks...
The vocals on this album are a bit of a step down from Mastodon's efforts (and are particularly bad on Dagger). But WOW the instrumentals are great, amazing riffs and super tight drumming. The album overstays it's welcome just a bit but it's more a length issue than a quality issue. If this had been two shorter albums I probably would have liked both of them more than I like this as a whole. BUT, nonetheless this is a great album from Mastodon and ... read more
I bought this CD at a local record store about a week ago without having ever heard it. Other than pre-orders, I never buy physical copies of albums that I haven't heard. Coupled with the fact that I had only ever heard one Low album (2018's Double Negative) that I didn't even like, this was a very bold purchase from me.
Today, I decided to take this CD, along with Giant Steps by John Coltrane, Floating into the Night by Julee Cruise, and Niji by Ironomi with me to my favorite library on ... read more
they can't keep getting away with this !!!!!! HOW ARE THEIR TTs SO GOOD
Stereotype: 10/10
I'll Be Theree: 7/10
Slow Down: 9/10

A little bit lackluster, but Door and Blue Eyes are two fantastic songs that show two different sides of Eunbi's style. I think she has a lot of potential and will definitely release better stuff in the future.
Pretty sure this is now the longest album I've ever listened to and it just makes sense that it would be a Lil B mixtape. Very few misses on this 100 song, 5 hour 41 minute long album.
"Lil B is one of the most revolutionary artists in music, all he has to do is walk and they follow."
- Lil B
This quote is so true. No one, and I mean NO ONE has the ear for beats that Lil B has. Billy Woods and Quelle Chris come close but other than that Lil B is really untouched.
One of These Nights is a GOD TIER TITLE TRACK. too bad the rest of this is a bet meh (except for the closer somehow ???).
ReVe should fr be the only group allowed to make ballads, although TWICE and LOONA have some good ones. But MAN One of These Nights doomer kpop.

Some of my Boris files aren’t working right now and I’m too lazy to listen to the albums other ways so I have been spending my time on a Destroyer discog dive. While many of his albums have unexpectedly blown me away, 2006s Destroyer’s Rubies has certainly been my favorite first listen so far. Starting with the dreamlike, almost Bob Dylan-esque in its self-indulgent, rambling nature “Rubies,” the first five songs fly by in a blissful whir of Bejar’s ... read more
listened to this during a thunderstorm and i felt like i could've died in that very moment and would've been content
I have no idea why people overlook this album so much. Read a lot of stuff saying the mixing was poor and that they did it too fast but I think the loose, airy mixing on this album really adds to the atmosphere of the instrumentals super well. Bejar's signature dry, sarcastic, often abstract lyrics sound right at home among the soft, eclectic instrumentals. Great stuff. Will listen to again, and again.
if this was any other artist i just know it would have a "worst artworks" tag instead of a "best artworks" tag. the music is pretty cool and good tho.
every review: “beach house rip-off”
okay? and? the music is good. i am a fan. the drums on this are insane. better than any drum patterns beach house could come up with and unlike anything beach house has ever done because, surprising for some people, i break horses and beach house are not the same band. this album is very good. i enjoy it. turn, the prophet, neon lights, baby you have travelled for miles without love in your eyes all great. would recommend. only way this album ... read more
lemme preface this by saying i am very much NOT the target audience for this album.
there are some pretty baller songs on here (brutal, deja vu, jealousy jealousy) but the rest of the album is crippled by a crazy lack of diversity both in the instrumentals as well as the lyrics. yes, i know, this is a breakup album, but she doesn't really get into anything beyond a surface level sadness from the breakup. overall, i'd say there's definitely potential on this album and i wouldn't be surprised ... read more
