His debut EP is pretty good. Lyrics aren't there yet, but the lo-fi production is pretty good for his first record. Being one of his earliest works, I don't think the lack of any nuanced lyrics is too much of a problem. Joji was trying to give a certain sound, and yeah I did like it. The delivery is somewhat lackluster, and sometimes it's obnoxious, but it only really applied to Bitter Fuck.
The first two tracks were the best songs in the EP for me. The production for Will He ... read more
Ehhhh what the fuck hahaha this album was kinda not good. Being his album after Demon Muppy, I started to appreciate that EP even more after listening to this one. This album was wasted potential. I mean I do like some songs in here, don't get me wrong. This album is just a disappointment really. I was hoping for something better after Demon Muppy but damn hahahahaha
Da City of a Hunnid Plays is the first song in the album, and is the best song in the album. Being his most streamed song, ... read more

Continuing my JPEGMAFIA rabbit hole, I liked this album a whole lot because holy shit. This shit was experimental and shit, showing the potential that Peggy from the beginning. Shit, this project is unique and the beats he making in this album just not the type of shit I'd hear in any other hiphop records. This was honestly some gas and I'm actually glad I decided to listen to his old shit first because this is fire already.

I was going to start listening to Peggy's Black Ben Carson first, but after learning that he had a few mixtapes a few years before that, I got intrigued. As I started listening to DSS, I learned that "oh, this is an instrumental album". I thought it was pretty good. Peggy always had a good ear for production even back then. The fact he produced this while in the military, and stationed in Japan was also something I wasn't aware of ... read more

My pregnant idol Uzi once again delivers in this album as he fights the world with his Trap music. Although not the best in the industry, Trap isn't the same without him. His 3rd mixtape, Lil Uzi Vert vs The World, is obviously a big step-up from Luv is Rage. The album cover is amazing too. Scott Pilgrim is fire, and black Scott Pilgrim is a gift to hiphop and humanity.
When I heard the moan when I started the album, I knew this was going to be a good album. ... read more

Luv is Rage is the first mixtape and full-length work i've heard from Uzi and it's pretty decent. From what I listened, it's nothing too crazy. Uzi has a good ear for good beats though, I liked the production all throughout this project. It's not as good as his picks in later works, but considering this is his oldest mixtape in Spotify (I didn't listen to The Real Uzi, nor do I have any plans doing so), I think it is good enough. With that ... read more
Tyler, The Creator dance album good album.
I went in completely blind, so I had no idea it was gonna be some kind of dance album. Weirdly, I didn't expect it to be that long. I thought like since this is not long after CHROMAKOPIA this would be like a shorter project. I correct so yehey. With that said, I really liked it because Tyler, The Creator dance album.

So this album is a mixed bag of random shit. This is X's last album before his untimely passing, so rest in peace X, but I don't know how to feel about this album. It was okay??? The first half of the album had some good parts but overall this album is eh. I feel like X could have made better music after this which is kind of sad.
With all that said, this album does show his versatility, in some sense. Is it good??? Depends really. The guitars are good though. I like it when he ... read more
OK so basically I didn't like it. This is the first posthumous album of X and it's pretty scummy of his label to drop his half assed album full of demos. Calling it an album is an overstatement, because this album is unbelievably short. The album if half alright and half ass. I'm skipping the intro because it was boring as hell.
Guardian angel is a pretty good song. I like Jocelyn Flores so I fw the reversed beat in the back of that song.
Train food is my favorite track here. ... read more
A GHETTO CHRISTMAS CAROL is a goofy little kooky EP that X released and I think it's very zany and is full of kerfumplepuffs. Having a runtime of 9 minutes, this was a very short release, but hey 5 songs by X that's pretty cool right? This EP was eh. The tracks are way too short, that's one of it's problems. It always sound like the song could go somewhere but like it doesn't which is kinda disappointing.
Title track was very XXXTENTACION sounding. I liked it a bit. ... read more
This is X's best project by a landslide. I mean, comparing it to his other projects, this is his most cohesive project to date, effectively having only one filler track in its entire duration. This mixtape arguably has his biggest bangers in his entire discography, with a mix with his more melancholy emo rap shit. Although his later albums are much longer and arguably have some songs that are better, Revenge has that SoundCloud X that I lowk fw alot. After the Revenge era he never really ... read more
This EP was alright. Personally, I think the production carries way more than Niontay because whatever the hell his vocal delivery is, I don't think it's really that good. It doesn't really make this EP that bad since there are some good stuff here too.
With that said, YATKAMAN3000 was kinda ass. I was almost gonna drop this EP from the opening track alone since it kinda sounds like a joke. The production is decent enough, but this is probably his worst delivery in the EP. I ... read more
Okay so I was going to listen to this with very low expectations. From what Ye was doing uptil now, I expected this to be another ass release. And after listening to it over and over, I actually think this is decent enough. The mixing actually sounds good compared to the last release. If he used AI here, I couldn't really tell too much. I hope not. This sounds like a step to the right direction atleast.
Last Breath is a decent song. It sounds like it could be more though. I love the bass ... read more
At the current state of Kanye right now, I can't really say that I'm surprised how awful this release was. I mean I heard the songs before their actual release, and it somehow sounded 10x better than whatever the hell he put out in this first single. Whatever this is, it's just AI slop with ass mixing. What happened bro.
Preacher Man sounds like ass here. The AI here isn't only vocal, but it somehow has the worst mixing I've ever heard. There was one point in the song ... read more
Singer-Songwriter, Fascist, and Professional Rapper Kanye West, together with Greatest of all Time Kid Cudi collaborated and produced one of the best albums of all time, KIDS SEE GHOSTS. I consider this as Kanye West's last perfect album.
What else can I say about this album. It's perfect. All killer no filler. Like the first song, I can still feel the love of the craft in this album. Comparing this to ye, it's much more polished in terms of production. The opening track, Feel ... read more
a significant step up from the last mixtape, having alot of good tracks like fight the feeling and america. there still some frat rap ass songs though but there's just too much good here
ts sound like quintessential frat rap and i dont fw it at all. the good tracks here are not even as good as the worst in KIDS so this was very eh. it somehow sounds more dated than KIDS, and this being his debut studio album just makes it a bit more disappointing. what's common about some early mac miller tracks for me atleast is that some of the start of songs kinda edge you into thinking it'd be good, then the dated ass drum machine comes in and it becomes eh. missed calls was good ... read more
