I really liked this too. Not as much as HONEYDEW, but I think this was a solid EP as well. It's a pretty nice follow-up to HONEYDEW, having the sounds they usually be making. I can't wait to see how their sound will evolve from where they are now. They have genuine talent and creativity, and I can't wait to see them blow up. Amazing EP.

It's been awhile since my last album review. I took a long break, and hey I'm back now. I probably lost my writing skills, but I'll try my best to get back to my usual shit. A little background about this album though, I actually listened to this a month ago, and let's say I kind of got a writer's block. I couldn't think of how to review and shit, and that applies to a couple other albums. But y'know, I actually like writing reviews, soooo here I am.

Might be one of my longest reviews yet.
There isn't really much albums like loveless. Although it revolutionized an entire genre of music — that being Shoegaze, I don't think any record ever came close to what loveless did. It was such a dreamy, ethereal, and special experience — one I haven't experienced before I listened to this album.
Just a little background, I haven't really went too deep into Shoegaze before I listened to this album. I first came across ... read more
~~~ The JPEGMAFIA Experience #3 ~~~
I'm so scared ahhhhh scary album JPEGMAFIA goat
After a long break from Peggy, I'm finally back, and now I'll finally listen to his discography that most people know. Black Ben Carson is very scary. It's good industrial hip-hop, and he's angrier than ever. Since his days under the moniker of "Devon Hendryx", he always have been overtly political, and always have hated everything. I mean he dissed Pantera, The Rolling ... read more
this played right after DUMMY! and it fit so well I thought it was still the same song. Absolute peak.
This is one of the best EPs I've heard this year.
No seriously, this really made me feel good. The production, the vibes, the everything.
I'm a huge Tyler, The Creator fan, and this EP scratched alot of my itches. Aside from the obvious inspirations like the use of synths and the feeling of being a white girl, this EP made itself a thing of its own. It's the ultimate summer EP, incorporating elements of summer indie rock, bedroom pop, neo-soul, and Tyler, The Creator type of ... read more
Bryant Barnes is here with his first EP, VANITY, where he showcases his very gifted voice. This little record was really nice and vibey. If I really have any significant criticism though is other than a few songs here, it blends together too much. The obvious highlight here is of course, I'd Rather Pretend. It is soulful, emotional, powerful, and his voice here makes it stand out in the Alt R&B space. His voice is full, deep, and it is actually pretty nice when he reaches the high ... read more
So, Showbiz. This is Muse's debut album and what can I say. This is one of those album that's consistently good from start to finish. To give you a little background, I actually chose to listen to Muse because I am a big Radiohead fan. I searched up bands like Radiohead, and other than Coldplay, Muse also came up. Alot of people recommended to start with Origin of Symmetry, and Showbiz later on, but honestly, it's pretty hard for me to listen to an artist without listening in ... read more
Before I listened to this album awhile ago, I searched up a bit about MAVI. One of the common themes I read was he was basically Earl Sweatshirt but not Earl Sweatshirt. Now, I already had Earl Sweatshirt in my listening backlog, but since everyone keep comparing this guy to Earl Sweatshirt, I decided to delve into his discography first. After I listened to his entire discography (and taking a break from this type of hip-hop), I came back here finally, to listen to MAVI's album, "Let ... read more
UPDATE (5/29/26): After relistening, I think the production ruins my experience with this album.
What can I say about Chance the Rapper.
A little background info: I learned about Chance because of one of the most horrendous releases of all time, The Big Day. Of course, I got kinda worried about listening to Chance. After some research though, he seemed like one of those up and coming rappers that everyone saw potential from before that release. I mean, during my listening of Ye's ... read more
JID arguably made one of the best hip-hop albums of the 2020s with the record "The Forever Story", and ever since then, people have been anticipating for his next work. JID has one of the best lyrical flow in the industry right now, and no one is really as good as him in terms of that. Now ever since I listened to all of his work back in January or so, I've been anticipating a new work from him since. Later on, WRK dropped, and the prospect of JID dropping seemed like it was ... read more
Production is utter dogshit but this is actually so fucking good. How can you not like this album????
The Electric Eels didn't last long as a band, but what they did during their time was legendary. They only had 6 gigs during their lifespan, and what happened during those times was the band equivalent of screaming bloody murder. Always ending in violence and arrest, how can you not love this rage filled band? They were definitely a big influence to punk because this in itself is probably ... read more
The Self Titled album from The Modern Lovers is a peculiar album. It aged pretty well, sounding like something that can be made in the 90s and even in the 2000s. It's an interesting garage and proto-punk album, having obvious influences from The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed.
This album perplexes me. The instrumentation is amazing, the songwriting is great, hell, the entire vibe of the album is consistent. The vocals, however — it's a hit or miss for me. On one hand, it ... read more
Arguably the first underground rock band, The Fugs stapled themselves as geniuses in the garage rock and proto-punk genre — having unconventional lyrical and instrumental composition. I mean, in the realm of garage rock, they were definitely something. This was weird, avant-garde, and psychedelic in all forms.
We have to talk about the absolute highlight of this album, Kill for Peace. It's funny, ridiculous, and somehow it's not hard to imagine how this could have influenced ... read more
This is very underrated, underplayed, and overlooked. Essentially being one of the only works of the Music Machine, this went under the radar. They look like if The Beatles had younger emo cousin, and the way they write and play their music kinda shows that. It's rebellious and dark — foreshadowing the movement that will happen years after this record. Good album.
"Before there was punk - there was a band called Death."
- A Band Called Death, 2012
This album should have been released in 1975. Record labels were a bitch back then, I guess. If this was released long ago, it would have been cited as one of the pioneers within proto-punk alongside The Stooges, The Sonics, MC5, and a couple other names. I'm really glad that they were able to get the recognition that they deserve even though it's 30 years after the album's first ... read more
Very underrated and overlooked, Crushed Butler's Uncrushed have avoided public attention for way too long and they should start getting credit for what they did for the Punk scene. Being one of the forerunner bands for Punk, proto-punk band Crushed Butler showcased hardhitting drumwork and riffs. They are so overlooked that it's not even funny. To be honest, they should be getting the same respect as their proto-punk contemporaries due to how good this actually was.
They were so ahead of their time they had to dip after two songs. Nah seriously they made two hardcore punk records and decided to disband? Honestly that's hard shit. I have nothing but respect for it, but damn. This obscure little record being the first hardcore punk songs is crazy. Long live Blast. Great single.
