The Beatles: Pt. 1
A rather disappointing debut.
There are a couple of good songs on this album, but most of them are not really interesting.
The two songs I liked were Twist and Shout, and Anna. With Twist and Shout, I don't have to explain; it's a classic. Anna is more of a deep cut, but there's something unique about it that makes it stand out among a lot of really similar songs.
Overall, like I said, I'm kinda disappointed, but I'm sure the next albums will be ... read more
Muse Re-review: Pt. 9
I hate that the lyrics on Muse's last albums feel like AI has been asked to write them. I don't find the title track to be one of the worst songs on the album, it's pretty decent. Compliance and Liberation are much worse. On Won't Stand Down, the lyrics are painfully basic, and the rhymes are some of the most overused rhymes ever. Ghosts is kinda good. As hard as it is, Matt actually makes it sound genuine. Easily the best song on the album. You Make ... read more
Muse Re-review: Pt. 8
It's like they're not even trying anymore.
The lyrics are cliche and dumbed-down, the songs are predictable and formulaic. And somehow, they've still managed to make a couple of good songs. Thought Contagion and Something Human. I don't get why people hate something human, it's the best song on the album imo.
I don't want to talk about this album anymore, it doesn't deserve to be talked about.
Muse Re-review: Pt. 7
I guess it's not that bad of an album, it has some interesting ideas musically. It actually has one major flaw; the lyrics. 90% of the lyrics on this album are complete garbage. And, even despite that fact, we still have some good songs.
Anyway, this is basically the turning point in Muse's career, after which there are years of midness.
Muse Re-review: Pt. 6
Supremacy is the last time in Muse's career when you will be excited about what you're about to hear after the opener. In other words, it's a really good opener. And the album manages to keep your hopes up because Madness is even better. Madness is really underrated and really good. It's notably better than any song on Resistance. Panic Station is considerably weaker, but it still excites you, it's still good.
Survival succeeds at being ... read more
BradTaste 10s Re-review: Pt. 4
My opinion may have shifted a bit (91=>92), but it didn't change, so I advise you to just read my old review below.
Radiohead Re-review: Pt. 4
Fastest 47 minutes in my life. It's an amazing album. But it's not as perfect as both of the albums before it.
Here, we have 8 truly beautiful songs, 2 unnecessary instrumentals, and one decent song (I don't like the title track too much).
We start gorgeously by getting one of the best openers ... read more
BradTaste 10s Re-review: Pt. 3
It's almost a 10! (95=>99)
Yeah, I'm still not 100% sure if this album deserves a 10, but the thing is, I don't have any complaints about it, and I don't believe that Metallica could've ever made an album better than this.
Battery is overrated. It is, hot take alert, the worst song on the album. It's still amazing, very energetic, and a really good way to start a record, but nothing stands out about it.
Master of Puppets is ... read more
BradTaste 10s Re-review: Pt. 2
I don't have nothing new to say about this album, an another 10, one of my favorite albums ever. It's not as emotional and cathartic as OK Computer or Showbiz is, instead it's just a lot of fun.
Original review:
This album is the one at the end of which you've completely gone deaf, but damn it was worth it.
Every song on here is amazing and in its right place. Except for Arto (if we count it). For example, Chop Suey is such a powerful ... read more
Brad Taste 10s Re-review: Pt. 1
You've been lied to, I'm not reviewing it again, I don't have much to say about it that I haven't said in my original review, this album is the best piece of music I've heard. So, instead of a review, I just wanna list three amazing encounters with some of the songs on this album in cinema.
1. One of the best episodes of Black Mirror, "Shut Up And Dance" has a very climatic, cathartic ending with Exit Music making it even more ... read more
Mise Re-review: Pt. 5 (64=>67)
They fell off. It's just a fact at that point. The album had potential; it's still great musically, but the lyrics are just so cliche and often really cringe.
Uprising is one of the weakest songs on this album. It's as generic and formulaic as Muse gets, still not a bad song per se, but a one that really showcases the fall-off we have to deal with here. Really overrated.
There are some very good songs on the album. Most notably Resistance, ... read more
Yeah, this album is very good. I can't say I had a deep emotional connection to every song on this album, but some of them really shook me to my core.
One thing I'd say, this album has too many covers. Only one of the three is a song worth coming back to, the other two are alright, but they are the weakest on the record. Hallelujah, on the other hand, is magnificent. I mean, the original one was already pretty amazing, but Jeff performed it in his unique way which made this song the ... read more
Brad Taste 10s: Pt. 16
A bit better than I expected, I guess. Just a mid record for me. I mean, I don't know anything about the band or the genre, but I thought the first half was alright, and somewhere after the 9th song or so, it was just a lot of mid for me.
Still not BradTaste's worst 10, De La Soul is probably worse.

Muse Re-review: Pt. 4
My opinion on this album didn't change much. It's a great one, just as great as Absolution. It's really hard for me to choose which one I actually prefer, they're really different.
While Absolution had more weak and forgettable songs, this album has a bigger problem with the lyrics. People say Absolution is based on some conspiracy theories about 9/11 and stuff, but I don't think it's actually true. With this album though, we have some of those theories just shoved in ... read more
Brad Taste 10s: Pt. 15
To me, this album sounds like Sunglasses, but only the first 2 minutes are repeated over and over. I mean, not really, but it's a decent description of the excitement I get from this thing.
I have a question: Is post-rock even a genre? Because I've heard some albums that are considered post-rock. I loved some of them, I didn't like others, but I failed to find similarities between them. I mean, Talk Talk are considered the fathers of post-rock because they made Spirit ... read more
Muse Re-review: Pt. 3
It's great to get back to reviewing and start with such a great release immediately. It has shrunk on me a bit (88=>85), but nevertheless, it's really good. I feel like I've been too harsh while rating the songs, but whatever.
The best song on this album and possibly one of the best Muse have ever written is Stockholm Syndrome. It's the only 10 on the album for me, just a musical masterpiece in every way. Hysteria is also a song I want to mention, the iconic bassline ... read more
Twenty One Pilots: Pt. 6
An album of unrealized potential, basically. It starts very strong, but I can actually feel it die down while it goes. I'm disappointed.
It simultaneously has some really great songs and, one of the worst TØP songs I've ever heard, At The Risk Of Feeling Dumb. This song... sucks. It's kinda disrespectful how he treats such dark and important themes. I mean, I can't really explain why I hate it, but it just feels corny as hell.
The last song is kinda ... read more
I mean, it sounds good, it's definitely a form of escapism, but not more than that.
Recently, I started getting into The Beatles, my next discog dive will probably be getting into them, and this album really reminds me of a lot of Beatles songs. Sometimes, they just go too far with it. Peppermint Roses sounds like a complete Beatles ripoff.
The only Lemon Twigs song I've heard before this album was Any Time of Day, and I love it, it's an adorable ballad. And when I see people writing that ... read more
Muse Re-review: Pt. 2
If you would ask me 2 years ago what's my favorite album, I'd answer it's this one. I still find it amazing, but it has some issues.
The major issue of the album is that, for some reason, it sounds worse than Showbiz. The mixing on some songs is bad when you listen with really good headphones, and that's frustrating because the material is perfect on basically every song, but somehow the mixing on this album is worse than on the debut.
Comparing this album to Showbiz, ... read more
So disgusting.
So far, it's my album of the year. Not that I've heard a lot, but I think it wouldn't be easy to surpass. Anyway, the first half is just very good overall, every one of the first 4 songs is very memorable, and therefore very enjoyable.
The second half is a little weaker, but after 3-4 songs it comes back swinging with 2 of the best songs on the album, Blinding Faith and Sit & Mourn. Blinding Faith is shockingly brutal, both musically and lyrically, while Sit & Mourn ... read more
Muse Re-review: Pt. 1
Well, that's probably the most underrated album on this website.
I haven't written any reviews for a week now so, to come back I've decided to re-review every album of a band that was once brilliant, and nowadays became painfully mid, Muse.
I feel like everyone should have some 100s that are entirely subjective. I have 2 of those, with one of them being a Russian abstract rap record no one obviously cares about, and the second being the constantly ... read more
