Неплохо для непрофессионального дебюта. Слабо для полноценного альбома.

The Smiths: Pt. 2

Surprisingly, I like this album significantly more than the debut. It's an improvement in most aspects.

Firstly, the chronometrage. It's not that the album became a lot longer or shorter; it's about how the time is distributed between songs, about the pacing. More interesting songs are given more time, and songs like What She Said or Nowhere Fast stay good because, while they don't have too much interesting going on, they don't have enough time to ... read more

Geordie Greep - The New Sound

I've already listened to this album a week ago, but then I got so little from it that I decided to revisit it after I get my wired headphones back. Anyway, I think I still didn't get the most enjoyment out of it because I was too invested in the lyrics.

The lyrics are great btw, they're so good that most of the time they feel even more important than the music itself. The concept of this album becomes pretty clear at the end, but the first 2 songs don't really fit with the ... read more

The Smiths: Pt. 1

A new discog dive. With a rougher start than I expected. Unfortunately, the songs I like the most are the songs I've heard before. Also, if This Charming Man would count as part of the album, it'd easily be the best song.

The thing is, while Marr already shaped his guitar style, Morrissey still couldn't find his vocal style. He barely writes any interesting vocal melodies, which is a skill he would improve upon, judging by the stuff I heard from later albums. ... read more

This album feels like a slight improvement from the last project. But, I wouldn't really call it an improvement since this album sounds different. I can hardly imagine a song from this album fitting on Wall of Eyes or vice versa.

This album feels like more of a complete project than the last one; it's got a distinct sound and a continuing lyrical theme.

But the lyrics are actually the weakest aspect of the record. Though they are connected throughout the whole album, the message ... read more

The Beatles: Pt. 12

A decent ending to a good career. It's not one of their best albums, but definitely not one of their worst. Just an alright listen.

I know that I didn't succeed all that much in getting into Beatles. I liked a lot of songs, but I expected much more. Also, my reviews often were pretty bad, since I didn't have much to say. I hope one day I'll come back to their albums and appreciate them more.

Anyway, this album is pretty enjoyable, the title track is ... read more

The Beatles: Pt. 11

Overrated, but still pretty good. This sentence pretty much sums up what I think about Beatles and of this album, particularly. The so-called medley is pretty forgettable, but the first half is very solid. This record feels a lot simpler than the White Album, and it has much fewer filler songs, which makes it a lot better in comparison.

Anyway, it's not their best, imo. Revolver is notably better, and Rubber Soul is basically at the same level.

The Beatles: Pt. 10

Yeah, I don't like it. Don't get me wrong, some of their best songs are on this album. Happiness is a Warm Gun may just be the best one I've heard, and Helter Skelter basically invented a new genre. Anyway, with some of the songs on the album being fantastic, most of them are just really boring.

With that being said, I can appreciate just how influential and groundbreaking this album was for many different genres, but it's just not my thing, I guess. ... read more

Brad Taste 10s Re-review: Pt. 7

I'm not changing my rating, because my opinion hasn't really changed that much. Also, I was half asleep through most of the first half. The only thing I'm surprised by is how easy it was to complete it. 2 months ago when I reviewed it, while I liked the album it wasn't easy to get through. Now it is. The only song I struggle to get through is the 34 minute opus, but not the other ones.

Anyway, my review 2 months ago was too long to delete, ... read more

Brad Taste 10s Re-review: Pt. 6

I knew this thing would grow on me. (80=>86)

I love this record. While it can be repetitive at times, it's almost flawless lyrically, and very diverse musically. My first review was pretty alright, I encourage you to read it down below this one. But keep in mind that almost every song has grown on me since then. Except for The Flammable Man and Less Sex.

Also, I just have to mention that Daughter is criminally underrated. It's like the second best ... read more

BradTaste 10s Re-review: Pt. 5

I was really surprised when I saw that Brad deleted his account, and even more surprised that no one talked about it. Anyway, I'll continue this series.

The thing about this album is, I realy love it, but I can't relate to most of the discussed topics, despite admiring how he talks about them. To explain my feelings towards it metaphorically, I love the butterfly, but I don't care all that much about the caterpillar. Unfortunately, I deleted my ... read more

The Beatles: Pt. 9

The first half of the album is pretty forgettable despite being weird. The second half is quite good, though. This album is not my thing, but I still appreciate it.

This album is psychedelic, but not in the same way Revolver was. While it works great on Strawberry Fields Forever, it doesn't work that well in the first half.

Overall, pretty alright, though kinda disappointing.

Porter Robinson - SMILE! :D

Brad Taste 10s

I expected to like this album even less. Turned out to be pretty alright. The first two songs are bangers, but Cheerleader is the one the really stands out.

The explosiveness of the first two songs is a thing that I expected throughout the whole album, and unfortunately, I didn't get it.

Overall, a decent project with a couple of standout songs.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

The Beatles: Pt. 8

So far, this album has disappointed me the most. It's good, but for me, it's worse than Rubber Soul, let alone Revolver.

I expected this album to be their best, and while I got an overall pleasant experience, I couldn't appreciate it because of how overhyped I was.

The Beatles - Revolver

The Beatles: Pt. 7

They become better and better. 12 songs out of 14 are actually worthy of coming back to. Despite being really experimental, this album feels very cohesive. I love how overwhelming it sounds, how creative and psychedelic it is.

For me, there are no songs that stand out on the album. It's very solid overall, with most of the songs being basically the same quality. I like it a lot.

The Beatles - Rubber Soul

The Beatles: Pt. 6

Took them 6 attempts to finally make a good album.

This album has a lot of their best songs so far. For me, the best ones are Norwegian Wood, Girl, and I'm Looking Through You. Norwegian Wood is easily their best song lyricwise. The twist at the end it really caught me by surprise. Girl is iconic, and I'm Looking Through You is one of their most overlooked songs. The riff is incredible, the melody is really catchy, and the lyrics are interesting.

Musically, ... read more

The Beatles: Pt. 5

Unquestionably, the best album so far, with unquestionably the best song so far, Yesterday. It's crazy just how much Yesterday stands out, even despite being after one of the better songs on the album, it's still on a completely another level. Basically, that's the main difference from the other albums; they didn't have such a powerful song.

It's not the only difference, though. The album seems to be much more experimental than the albums before ... read more

The Beatles: Pt. 4

I expected it to be worse. It's called the weakest album even among the mediocre early Beatles catalog, and for me, it's better than the first two albums.

It's a little more cohesive and consistent. It feels like a transition between the stuff they did on the first albums and something new, probably something that would be on help. Of course, all the differences are minor, there are still songs that could've easily landed on the previous albums.

Before we're starting to discuss the album, does anyone know how to explain your grandma that when you're in headphones, you're not really open to a conversation? If anyone knows, you gotta help me out here.

So, the album is their best so far, the opener is great, Can't Buy Me Love and And I Love Her are solid. If I Fell is really overrated, btw. So far, this album has the most enjoyable songs and much better writing. We're still nowhere near the ... read more

The Beatles - With The Beatles

The Beatles: Pt. 2

A lot of people say this album is basically the same as the debut. It us mostly true, but there are some notable differences. The songs on this album are faster, the production is completely different, and, most importantly, this album doesn't have its Twist and Shout. There's no song that stands out. The only song I liked was the opener.

Overall, this LP is different from the debut, but not in quality. In fact, it's even worse.

Also, about the bias: I may have lived in Israel for the last 8 years, but I was born and lived half of my life in Russia, which doesn't stop me from fully supporting Ukraine, despite having a strong connection to Russia and its culture. So I wasn't biased in that case, which may show that I'm not too biased here either."
On Macklemore - HIND'S HALL
"@rices You referred to Netanyahu helping Hamas gain power like 3 times, which really means nothing, since I'm not defending him, I'm defending a country, and Netanyahu can't make the decisions like attacking Gaza singlehandedly. Also, Hamas wouldn't gain any power and win the elections if the people living in Gaza wanted peace, because they had peace, they wanted wars and attacks. So that's what we gave them. You should save Gaza from Hamas, but it seems like the people in Gaza don't want to be saved, which is really sad."
