not just one of the best TRAP albums of all time. This is one of the best ALBUMS of all time. Uzi and Carti are two of the most important artists of the 2010s and 2020s music couldn’t exist without them.
I thought panic went INSANELY downhill after their first two albums I had no clue this album was actually really good???
Basically everything I wrote about "the new 925" is present even on their past work though I think I like this album even more than their most recent project. AND I LIKE "CLAYMORE" ITS A GOOD SONG I SWEAR
Woah where did this group come from?!? This review is taking into account the (complete) version of this album with a couple extra tracks because that version isnt on this site. This album is incredible I adore how this duo blends the hyperpop sound that has almost died off completely by this point and fuses it with a love for 2000s emo music and Lil Uzi Vert. They definitely wear their influences on their sleeves, but I think when they combine those influences so well it isnt necessarily a bad ... read more
what am i supposed to say about this mixtape it’s uzi and it introduced me to rap music when i was in fucking 7-8th grade when i heard “You was Right” on the radio without that experience NONE of the reviews i’ve done on this website would be even remotely possible.
this album is kinda really good? the first track is incredibly good it’s interesting how Dylan had embraced a bunch of new sounds and i genuinely think it’s a lot of fun
This album kinda fucks in an interesting way. There are some moments that are a little dull but the insane switch to brass instrumentation is kinda incredible on this album and it goes over SO much better than anyone couldve thought it would and I think its a testament to Dylan's pure musical talent. Also the sax breaks during "Changing of the Guards" are addicting.
Mid listen: "If Dogs Run Free" is fucking insane LMAO no way he made this HAHAHAHA
Okay real review, weirdly this is the Dylan album so far I've had by far the least to say about. It was inoffensive with some insane high points and no real low points but overall, the album didn't leave me with any lasting feelings either way. The first 2 tracks and "The Man in Me" are incredible though those 3 tracks are top tier Dylan.
I mean Dylan admitted it wasn't supposed to be good and it was supposed to confuse the public and get attention off of him so he could spend time with his children and not be marked as the "spokesman of a generation" in that way this album is generational as depicting Dylan's constant battle with his image and his issues with how the public treats him compared to how he sees himself, but from the music side of things its just...okay? nothing really strikes out as so bad or ... read more
I enjoyed this SO much more than I thought I would. My first time listening to this album I straight up didn't like Dylan's vocals but over time I adjusted and came to terms with the new sound and on this relisten something just clicked this album is incredibly fun and heartfelt I loved every second One More Night is a deep cut that was one of my faves that I had no memory of until this relisten.
It's nowhere near as groundbreaking as the albums that came before but it wasn't really supposed to be. The tunes on this album are just insanely good.
Uzi was in the biggest flow state this entire album. He washes Gucci on every song i fear.
Is anyone surprised this album is incredible? Hot Mulligan just have that spark where everything works. Generational music
