IDLES - Joy as an Act of Resistance.

My second favourite IDLES record (It just cant match Brutalism for me). Such a powerful punk record. The lyrics on here are some of IDLES best, the vocal performance from Joe and the instrumentals from the band are incredible. Filled with bangers and the odd, chilled somber performance, this is easily the most accessible IDLES record and that's not a bad thing. The band give some of the best performances of their career on here.
Do yourself a big favour, if you haven't checked out this band ... read more

Rebecca Black - Let Her Burn

It's crazy that this is the same Rebecca Black that released 'Friday' all those years ago. Rebecca has come along way and released a solid debut album, not without it's flaws. Some tracks on here really didn't grab me but a lot of them did. Finding her footing in hyperpop/dance pop is clearly where Rebecca belongs, I cant wait to see her grow even more within this genre. Great vocals, some fantastic production, there is a lot to love with this record and I hope to see Rebecca release even ... read more

The 1975 - A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships

The album that got me into The 1975. This album is so damn good! There is tons to love on here. It's my favourite intro into any 1975 album and it stays pretty consistently great throughout. Filled with bangers and true sad boi bops. The production is probably the best here compared to any 1975 record, all the singles on here were incredible. This was the best the band had ever sounded until 'BFIAFL' came out. Check this one out if you haven't already, it's one of the best pop rock albums ever ... read more

Nia Archives - Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against Tha Wall

A solid EP from Nia. Some really enjoyable jungle/DNB tracks on here, a lot of fun to be had. Nothing crazy on here but can see one of two of these songs getting even more mainstream plays and becoming real hits. Good vocals, solid mixing. Not much to say here. Nia is one of the biggest emerging talents in this genre and this is a great way to get into her work.

Favourite tracks on here include 'Baianá' and 'So Tell Me...'

Kali Uchis - Red Moon In Venus

Some fantastic R&B bangers on here. Kali Uchis does it again, proving she is easily one of the best R&B artists out there. Her vocals are stunning on here. Some songs are on here are stand out hits where as a few others felt a bit like filler to me. Not that the filler songs are bad, I just feel the album kinda blended to well into some songs, sounding alike. There is tons of great moments on here though and it's an album that I feel anyone who enjoys R&B music should check out ... read more
