Music that cockroaches listen to at Asmongold's place after finding secret coke stash
Honestly I have no idea why I have never tried anything besides Big Fish Theory, he's so good
Its a reminder I should catch up
Its way more consistent and straight to the point than their debut, pretty much no serious weak points, I had lots of fun from first to the last track
Fav song: Colour Television
Really cool mix of genres, there's some really villainy and cold sounding stuff. Some industrial and noise infuenced stuff could be more interesting but its still good. Same goes with that random rap part. All around a pretty good idea that could have been executed better
Fav song: Ecstasy
Thx @Lady6ov6Fire for a rec
Guess I've "avoided" Slayer for too long. Feels like a mistake after this album, especially that "Raining Blood" finally clicked with me. I remember being so confused by this song years back when Black Sabbath was my "deep cut" (lmao). Anyway, whole album is really a burst of energy, it pretty much refuses to stop anywhere at all. The only real issue I've got here, is how short Reign in Blood is, it doesn't stop it from ... read more
Not as insufferable as the reputation suggests, it doesn't change the fact that everyone is pretty much right on this album, I can't really find anything good about it myself or take it seriously by any mean.
I personally find it as "do not fall asleep" challange, wasn't easy but I made it through
Yeah, I'm not surprised, album is not good at all. I was never a big fan of Foo Fighters but I can't really see it as anything more but eye-roll worthy generic stuff, with few actually trash songs unfortunately. I think they could have done so much better
Asking For a Friend is that one pretty good song
If this is one of their weakest, then I do not think they have really released anything that actually sucks.
I can see myself relistening to it from time to time
Fav song: Sixtyniner
Thx for a rec @OrangeFoliage
Its wayyy better than I have expected, unironicly one of the better singles that came out this year. I'm in love with this freaking guitar especially. I'm deffinitely looking out for more
I'm lowkey discovering love for some ambient music. Also this one might be one of THE ep's of all time
Fav song: title song
Wow, this is actually really cool... I was not shy with my hate for post Resistance Muse. And this is their best since god knows how long. I'm still not hyped for the album, but it pisses me off that Muse still can write good stuff with some effort to it, and they just refuse to do so for the most part
Noisy 2000's shoegaze with pillowy vocals and some dreamy atmosphere. Nothing spectaculary new but really damn good, pretty much a perfect album with its bar raised quite high. Every single damn song makes me wanna say hell yeah
Fav song: Here Comes Everybody
So, for anyone clueless, there's an animation going on youtube named "Street Catz", which recently just got its pilot. Pretty cool thing thats already getting quite a lot of attention for something so small. (Worth checking out, believe me).
Never thought that old cartoons inspired punk cats playing Beatles like stuff would be the coolest thing I have bumped into this year.
The fact that this absolutely amazing song was made just for a short sequence of the episode is crazy. ... read more
Cozy creeps, I find it so much better than "Music Has the Rights to Children", its way more immersive and sharper, I just find it all around more satysfying.
Also Boards of Canada is probably the only band that can make half of their album an interlude and I would be perfectly fine with it.
This cover got so weird as soon as I've realized those are trees and people on it
I like the crispy glitchiness, there's clearly a lot of attention put into details, making it all sound squeezed together into a sort of a dystopian landscape. It does have both its angry and more heavenly moments. Melodies tend to be a little repetitive but personally its not a big deal for me
Fav song: Assume the Avalanche
Goes as unreasonably hard as the cover. Its pretty nocturnal and lushy downtempo and IDM. It gives you a cold shoulder, its never in hurry and all of that form oddly comforting but bittersweet atmosphere. Its really easy to relax and get yourself lost in this album.
Quite underrated, ngl
The Knife worked with some eerie sounds before, but this album takes it to a different level. Industrial haunting and in-your-face neony techno. Its ominious, abstract and confident, it doesn't really care that much about your comfort but makes sure that their mechanical pieces are still danceable and hypnotic.
I didn't found myself bored through over one and half an hour of this album even though it occasionally leans heavily towards ambience. If you're not patient, it could ... read more
The bass sure is distracting but as a whole it doesn't speak that much too me. Second half is noticably weaker too
Thx @congrammy for a rec. Thats one's my favourite from what I've catched up with so far, I think I'm a sucker for this type of IDM
