Loved every single second of it. Its hard to describe for me how exactly Leaper sounds, but I would try it as a very surreal, mechanical but softspoken IDM, complicated and silly at some parts but ultimately comforting and dreamy. And it gives jazzy vibes from time to time.
Stickerbush cooked here, I'm not that much familiar with his other work and The Sidepeices but this one still seems very original.
Fav song: I actually need a relisten to choose one, but "Naked" is the ... read more
Thx @paiirs for a rec
Not a fan of all the choices made in the song, but still it was a pretty neat listen
Canadian krautrock-dance band name Holy Fuck?? Don't even ask, all I know is that they're crazilyyy groovy, I had lots of fun with this album and I will be going through their music for sure. Its that kind of band which I will find myself lowkey obsessed about.
Goated album (literally)
I admit I'm here only because listed genres piqued my curiosity, and that I've promised myself that I'll try some black and death metal this year. And black one specifically? I've barely got any taste of it, at least not much of any that would blow me away, so I've ended up assuming its just not for me.
Looks like this might change? Coronah is so far (unironicly) the coolest thing from this year I've heard yet (and aoty material). ... read more
Beautiful and otherworthly sounding short-circuits
I'm in awe how great literally everything about this album is, (debut on top of that) from insane production to great features and atmosphere itself. I could list all of those things but instead I'm just gonna say that it should be a must-listen. It might be a blueprint for all what's great about underground music
Fav song: robot jesus vampire
I like how she seems to be very comfy and confident with this sound, very lushy but spiky-thick sounding guitar, it gives me a laidback autumn vibes, dry and colder days. Still, a groovy and comforting listen.
Fav song: Stay In Your Lane
Not necessary better than Angel Dust, but I think I'm more fond of this one, especially its total chaos and absolute lack of brakes. You have in there everything from nasty throat screeching to spy-movie sounding funk and melancholic art rock I love it so damn much.
Well, the genre mashup is not a new thing especially around music where Mike Patton is involved with. But that might be my favourite example.
Also ignore the critics, thats just a peak example of them hating fun with passion
Kinda a diet take on "Playing The Angel", and as the last album was an absolute rollercoaster, can't say the same bout this one. Its an hour of... Okay songs, not something I would call a memorable listen, there are few of bangers but it lacks any good flow or idea why putting exactly those songs together into an exact hour long project makes it any special. It just doesn't. Its a barely decent listen that tends to feel like an empty nutshell, at the best it sounds like they ... read more
I think it was a pretty natural track for DP to drop the filthy sound for something softer, I mean after what the band went throught it was probably necessary.
And ngl I like their dreamy, slower side. Doesn't mean its a great album, nah, tends to be pretty boring exactly as people are saying so.
Even though the first song is amazing and teases you with some acoustic parts (its a shame that was not a bigger part of the album), Exciter slows down too much. Unnecessary songs, poor writing ... read more
It misses band's spark and sounds kinda generic but.. I guess its groovy and probably one of more decent songs we've got recently from them
He was not joking about that square 🙏
Btw, it goes really well with "Feed Me Weird Things", usually I'm not a sucker for albums with bonus tracks, but that one's cool

Bread 👍
Its way better than I remember, actually good enough that I can say comfortably say its a big step up from "Melted", which I think is a pretty mid album. Instead of a pack of forgettable songs with 2 bangers, we've got a pack of bangers with 2 really mid songs. Ty Segall's writing just straight up matured over this one album, its wayyy more clear and feels actually confident in being melodic or emotional.
It makes Goodbye Bread a first pretty good ... read more

We should add creep/basement rock genre just for this one. Emotional Mugger is.. well.. an emotional mugger, pretty much an album that relies on ugliness, its trying to sound anxious, paranoid all the way in, with succes. I feel like my personal space was invaded and even though my first listen was a very odd experience, now it looks like I might actually come back to it more often.. its quite a special record and deffinitely not your usual garage stuff
Fav song: Candy Sam
I've seen people saying its just Viagra boys if they sucked ass...
Thats pretty much on point
