Pretty damn good for the "worst" of Viagra Boys, ngl. I am in love with the choice of going more bluesy, to the point I'd like to see em coming back to this once again. It gives them a very swampy, thick sound, which just straight up fits their attidute and all they're known for.
Aside of the charming sound, there's a collection of songs great enough that I struggle to find my favourite actually.
That doesn't go the whole way though, the biggest sin of Welfare Jazz ... read more

Well, I thought that after such a long time since my first listen, I would like Twins. Looks like my general thoughts didn't changed that much honestly. This album for me stands in an awkard place where it seems like a collection of B-sides, unpolished, usual garage of his with better and worse songs all over. I wish I had more to say, but I only got a feeling that he focused back then more on the number and not quality of the albums
Fav song: Thank God for Sinners
Pretty much boring, Aperture is the only one really worth attention, otherwise its just straight up music that doesn't do anything special. Harry oddly feels like he's sure he's somehow making a generational album. Very confident in all of that.
Ngl, the album cover is amazing at least
With all due respect to this duo, I don't really like their stuff, the squeakiness of hyperpop, "electrified" vocals and some other aestetic choices are just a collection of stuff that doesn't necessary hurt my ears but just makes this music uninterestic, not gonna yap much about it anyway.
Still I have a fav song: "hand crushed by a mallet"
I kinda like their side-gimmick of just adding another 0 to every single name of their next release
Imagine being transphobic and all that stuff, you find something cool, music in this case, and then you find out that person who's making it is non-binary. Then your straight up retarded believes come in play and you can't listen to it no more.
Must be a sad life
Its oddly unsatysfying, kinda feels like Machine Girl got to the point when they have tried to sound even more like Machine Girl but got no clear direction aside of being angry, its "The Ugly Art" but less polished and even more maximalistic.
Also its very short while being kinda all over the place, it makes it hard to feel an actuall album in it
This band feels like a very bri'ish and rural uncle of Squid, very whacky and jazzy punk, psychedelic and pillowy. They have their big-brain moments, and even though album is interesting and charming, it feels unsatysfying. I just simply think that Serfs Up! had potential for something more
Fav song: Feet
I would review it properly but it seems like I cannot reveal the words of the golden eel (my fav song in there by the way)
thx @Lady6ov6Fire for a rec
Gotta say I'm barely into death metal, there is a humble number of songs that I really like, and about albums? Thats actually my first serious one. And while usualy I have a silly, or simply dumb kind of problem with death metal, is that I often find myself simply bored by it, no idea why honestly.
Antithesis is a big, angry, thick and cramped up pack of technical stuff, and that somehow solves quite a lot for me.
I'll take it as a good nudge towards what ... read more
Read @plastictrees review who just got more to say than me on that matter(thx for rec btw).
Well, I totally agree its a beautiful piece of music, usualy I am not into emo, but its straight up one of the exceptions, band made some insane stuff in here, go listen to it, seriously.
Also its nice seeing someone else who's also against gatekeeping (cool person alert).
Fav song: Long Night Moon

I always got a feeling that Ty is a psych-rock equivalent to an actor of one personality-roles (for the most part), not much of range, but solid at what he's doing, great in right place. It might be a bit stupid comprassion but I think of him as a "Keanu Reeves" of the genre, likeable guy, tends to play the same thing, better or worse, I wish him well and I dig through his stuff to find his better performances.
Manipulator is the peak of Ty being Ty, simple as ... read more
There's no other band as high as our swedish shrimp obsessed jackasses yelling about lizard people harvesting chirldren for adrenochrome (its a compliment btw)
First time listening to Cheekface, they sound exactly like I have imagined but I'm still surprised for some reason
Can't wait for American Football by American Football.
This is by the way a great single also by American Football

First relisten after two years and now I actually get it, at least partialy. While the album still doesn't make me roll my eyes back with Exception of "Only Shallow" and "When You Sleep" (which I actually always loved), I find it quite charming. Its far from my first experience, when I admit it was a tiring listen for the major part, but it was a long time ago, so anyway. I think that those rusty and lushy guitars just living their own life over soft and ... read more
It wasn't nearly as impactful of an experience (for me personaly) as Velocity. I preffer more IDM, instrumental and proggy side of Sweet Trip. What I appreciate about this album is that they just straight up prove that their range is bigger than you could expect, Sweet Trip can make some stellar rock, which is surprisingly, probably the most beautiful music they have shared with us. Oddly intimate, it also feels larger than life but down to earth and humble at the same time, which ... read more
New obsession unlocked. Thats kinda unrelated to the album itself, but I just want to say that if you're already interested in music, the best thing you can do for yourself is to keep trying new things, there's always something out there you'll love.
And maybe even give second chances, I didn't even liked those genres really by the first time
