Squarepusher - Go Plastic
86

Yeah, like I'm already not full enough of microplastic dammit. And if not the waste itself, some of his music would kill random people on the streets.
Squarepusher is great at creating chaos, and more "organized" songs too, and since I'm talking about that, listen to "I Wish You Could Talk", its heartwrenching

Everything Everything - RE-ANIMATOR
71

For me, this is the least interesting work from Everything Everything, doesn't mean it falls down far away from most of their stuff that much. This is the kind of a band that is continiously trying to push some of their limits and just go ambitious, they're clearly trying a lot. Band already proved that they can write a masterpiece (Get to Heaven), even though they tend to go in circles trying to recreate their succes in a bit diffrent way each time, they are not boring or ... read more

Melt-Banana - 3 + 5

In another universe, Alvin and the chipmunks are playing music like this and its actually peak fiction

Peaches - No Lube So Rude
7

Do not get curious, pls

Well.. where do I even begin.. Instrumentaly its not necessarily terrible, just uninteresting almost all the way in (and kinda generic) with few moments of exceptions if you'll ignore the lyrics. And adressing the elephant in the room, even though I can appreciate "dirty" or bold writing..
Peaches is just straight up repulsive and cringe. There's no going around it, cover fits the "content" very well unfortunately

Also, should I even ask ... read more

Mihal Lunar - Tales of Afterglow
83

Wonderful album by @zig

Chilly and nocturnal, kind of a music that feels like a breeze. Atmosphere is pretty much everything here and even though album tends to make you feel "lazy" and slowed down for the most part, its actually a strong side (you can get lost in, I like it). Production and whole layering is straight up great, and its interesting enough that I haven't felt lack of lyrics which sometimes bothers me with some instrumental albums as it might come out as lazy or ... read more

Archspire - Limb of Leviticus
87

Random death metal that I've just happened to like a lot. I'm surprised honestly, its one of the most exciting songs from this year I've heard so far

Depeche Mode - Black Celebration
92

86 >> 92

It was a moment since I have heard it, and now after being familiar with major part of Depeche's discography. I want to tell yall to pick up a song from their debut album, then Stripped or Black Celebration. What you hear is just a diffrence made over in a span of 5 years. Myyy god, their 80's run is just insane

Depeche Mode - Ultra
100

I don't know what to say honestly. Its an album pretty much known for being a miracle. Well, not only by its mere existance but the fact how good it is, especially that band was in a state of a hopeless train wrenck. Ultra is of course poisoned with everything that was happening around it.
The most depressive, moody, shady and nasty sounding stuff DP have ever shared with us. Its oddly beautiful but does have quite a darkness to it. I'm actually surprised that Ultra never abandoned ... read more

Squarepusher - Hard Normal Daddy
86

If you have never ever heard "Beep Street" before, then you've got to catch up real quick.

C'mon at least the Daddy title should convince you, I know you want to

femtanyl - NASTYWERKKKK!
96

Music for people who find electric chairs shockingly comfy

(My god, such a bad joke. This is what listening to Femtanyl and Machine girl for almost an hour does to mf)

femtanyl - REACTOR
73

Cool, sounds like its radioactive so title's on point

80

Actually, the only reason I have bothered with Femtanyl, was their feature on Stardust by Danny Brown (it was one of my fav songs in there - peak).
I had low expectations for the debut album coming out, but guess what. Its unironicly good, and Chaser as their most acclaimed project so far (I think it is at least) is quite a lot.. and considering its just 13 minutes long, its honestly impressive.

Charli xcx - Wuthering Heights
63

Charli made the Absolute Cinema album!

I love the general aestetic choices in this one, and even though I find it weak at some parts, there are seriously high highs.

femtanyl - MAN BITES DOG
83

As a Machine Girl fan, I highly approve it

Fav track: VIDEO NASTY

Pond - 9
85

83 >> 85

Trance-electro pop with some rock popping up here and there. I like how 9 as the most energetic and jumpy album doesn't abandon the sense of dreaminess from their ealier work. There's a really solid run of engaging songs. It was also the album that made me come back around to Pond, finding out they have clicked with me quite well. So for a moment my favourite of their.

Only issue I've got here? Its unfortubately not a 9/10 like the name suggests.

Mihal Lunar - The Iciest Eyes
87

Breathtaking

I'm pretty much convinced by now that album will be amazing

Converge - Love Is Not Enough
86

Straight up peak. Converge is still relevant and kicks ass after so many years on the scene. Might be the closest we have ever gotten to an indestructible band

The Black Angels - Phosphene Dream
95

I've listened to this album more than its healthy to at this point. This one is straight up fun, offers lots of variety and blood-pump through a pretty short runtime. Very memorable all around.

Also "River of Blood" is such a phenomenal song, top-tier garage rock

The Black Angels - Wilderness of Mirrors
84

86 >> 84

One of my favorite rock bands around actually. The Black Angels should be on the list of everyone who's in love with 70/60's rock. They manage to actually reincarnate what made that era sound special and place it in modernized settings. They are not revolutional but consistent through over 20 years with their cult of this certain style while managing to sound quite fresh. So on top of that its not a band which just releases yet another album that would be the exact ... read more
