Still not a big sucker for Foo Fighters. Its decent I guess and the fact that Dave basicly done it by just himself is impressive.. still it doesn't save me from feeling bored by solid part of the album. I'm not comparing it to Nirvana as it would be just unfair, but its got a few of dull moments too many.
Fav song: Alone + Easy Target
Looks like U officialy pulled me in into Underscores, and I am obviously not the only one. It took me infinitely long to finally catch up, (I was not convinced with hyperpop for a long time), but here I am.
One of my favourite album covers got slapped over the stuff thats straight up worth it. Its a close call to U for me. But it was kinda obvious to me that I'll preffer more rock and glitch oriented stuff from her. Cute but impactfull
Fav song: Spoiled little brat
It doen't really move me honestly, album itself is not bad, the only real issue I've got is this type of production often used in music like this which doesn't work for me. Basicly it gives me an odd feeling when even actuall effort and creativeness (which is present on the album) is shutted down by this exact style. But again, its just my personal thing
Fav song: Further Eden
Australian psychedelic music is literally a genre itself, lushy, sand coated, late spring vibes. Its the kind of music you think of when its windy outside, sky is clear as never before and you're up for can of soda.
Honestly, if you are a Tame Impala's or Pond's fan, there's no point on ignoring this one.
Sure its not as good as GUM's last album "Ill Times", but it offers a very hypnothizing highs even if the whole won't speak to you that well.

Thx @Scatuhh for a rec (read their review for more)
Very chill and relaxing listen, simplicity at its best. Exactly what I would like from an ambient ep
For the father, son and holy spirit of music production..
This one's a completely new level
I've expected to like this album, but my exceptations were not even close. Its probably one of my best experiences with pop music that was made in recent years.. its ridicuolusly catchy and very obviously layered like multi-flavored cake. I also admire how well Underscores manages to create music that feels exciting and somewhat challanging to listen but also very friendly and welcoming for ... read more
We're riding towards the sunset with this one!
In case someone doesn't know, Damaged Bug is a solo project (John Dwyer), frontman of Osees/ Thee Oh Sees/whatever's the name you might recognize.
Zuzax makes me feel like I'm in the cover, chilling in the coolest car around. Its of course krautrock, but unexpectedly groovy, almost funky and very chill in comprassion of what Dwyer is mostly involved with.
It might be the most interesting and climatic album that he have worked ... read more
Yeaaaaah, I'm not excited even a bit.
The only expectation I got for the new album is it might be not as embarassing as the last two.
If they'll manage to top the new low as it seems like a tradition by now with every single release to just make it worse than the last one. I would probably just explode alive out of cringe.
Its my second time trying to get into The Mars Volta after quite a time, I still dislike em generally. I find this particular band quite annoying and over the top. Average song of theirs, even if it does have a great concept, I just don't care about it because lyrics often sell me a vibe of code enigma that just gives me a headache to decode.
I'm not saying that I dislike bizzare, challanging or artful style of writing. But Mars Volta is just great at overcomplicating and ... read more
Respect for Kim, that she's still trying at her age, I guess.
Her voice, now clearly rusty, actually doesn't put me off at all, its far from terrible or annoying. (But I feel like I am the only one who thinks that way)
Everything else however, not that good. Personally I disliked the addition of trap, I feel like it just doesn't really work here, but that might be my thing cause its one of those genres I'm just not fond about.
Also average song on this album tends to not ... read more
I have no idea who James Blake is, but its a strong AOTY material. Not sure yet cause I've got few albums I want to catch up with and well.. rest of the year ahead.
Still, It was a magical experience, very beautiful and continiously interesting, it pulls you in with its attention to details and creativeness. Very lush and confident sounding. Just exactly what I like about this kind of music.
Fav song: Make Something Up
This band loves their bass, drums and synths more than anything ever, album is full of it. And if there is a music that lives simply by its grooves, Snapped Ankles would be a great example.
I'm coming back to this album quite often when I want something straight up fun. Stunning luxury is constantly pulsing with band's own interpretation of punk. That sounds exactly like bright colours they use for their covers. It fits their name also btw.
I like how Luxury just writes itself, those ... read more
So, never hearing a single song from Massive Attack before in my life, I went blindly into Mezzanine just because after like forever, I felt like finally catching up. Best decission in my life, it pays off really well. You also should give it a listen.
Also that basssss 🫦
I'm sitting here resisting the urge to change all of my favs to TDEP, just for the sake of glazing em.
Every single album in their discography is just stellar, from beggining to their closing one, its really a way to go out. I do not mind if they'll never again go back in the studio together, there's literally nothing to fix.
Also I think its their most consistent album, and considering how much it doesn't shy away from being creative, its actually amazing how much of ... read more
Tom's still in form, it gives me high hopes for this year album coming (lowkey excited). Anyway, I clearly like this one, it feels like "Feed Me Weird Things" but ultimately more chill and topped with pretty neat use of acid synths.
Also, I might the only one who unironicly thought of geometry dash for some reason while listening to it, multiple times. (correct me if I'm wrong).
I'll probably relisten to it to see if I'm just spitting some kind of nonsense
Parquet Courts rules, I can't wait for them come back with sonething new
Way more chill than I've expected, well, my first touch with the band (and obsessive one) was by "Dayvan Cowboy", so yeah, it is quite a diffrence.
Album itself is somehow far from boring even with its lenght and repetetivness, There's an unusual big number of interludes which.. could have ruin the album, but are actually a great medium between songs.
Pleasant surprise all around, makes you slowly melt down into the pillow
So much better than Villains, instead of sounding like completely diffrent band impersonating QUOTSA, they actually manage to give you a feeling of a band that's getting old but still can catch up and be relevant to some extend with fresh stuff.
I've liked pretty much everything here, with "Made to Parade" as the only real weak point. Other issues? It just doesn't hit as hard as most of their previous albums, but thats okay, considering the fact that they're not ... read more
